On 19 April 2026, Ms. Grace Masibag, an alumna of the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) Pagharap sa Pangarap College Scholarship Program from the Philippine Normal University (PNU) served as the guest speaker for this month’s Life Skills and Motivational Seminar (LSMS) for CFBCI scholars.
Titled “Harness the Heart: Mastering the Skills That Build Meaningful Connections,” the seminar provided scholars with practical tools to cultivate and sustain healthy relationships. In addition to delivering an empowering talk, Ms. Masibag facilitated a series of interactive exercises that actively engaged the participants.
Also present to guide and support the scholars were Director Richard Alviar, Chairman of the Education Committee; Education Committee Vice Chairman Linda Lao; External Committee Vice Chairman Ramon Cheng; and Plenary Member Jefferson Cheng.
Before the LSMS, the program began with a segment called Serendipity, led by Mex Bausa. This opening activity centered on heartfelt conversations in anticipation of the upcoming Mother’s Day. One of its key highlights was a sharing session where scholars were given the opportunity to talk about their mothers.
They expressed their appreciation, shared personal stories, and conveyed sincere messages of love and gratitude. The atmosphere was warm and reflective, allowing participants to connect through shared experiences and emotions.
The program also featured a guest speaker, Ms. Mary Grace Masibag, an alumna of Philippine Normal University (PNU), who graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English Literature.
In her discussion, she emphasized the importance of effective communication and building genuine relationships. She shared practical tips and meaningful insights that scholars can apply in their daily lives, particularly in strengthening their connections with others.
In addition, she also shared her personal journey, including her experiences, challenges, and achievements, which served as an inspiration for the scholars as they continue to pursue their own goals.
To make the session more engaging, interactive activities were conducted, such as “Pass the Message” and a gratitude-sharing exercise. These activities added an element of fun while reinforcing the value of clear communication and appreciation.
The event concluded on a positive and fulfilling note, as the scholars enjoyed their lunch together. It served as a simple yet meaningful way to end the session, giving everyone time to relax, connect, and reflect on the insights they had gained.
菲華工商總會訊：為持續推動「點亮未來」助學方案全人教育理念，培育德智兼備、均衡發展的優秀青年，本會於二〇二六年四月十九日（星期日）上午，假本會八樓禮堂舉辦四月份修養講座。活動內容豐富多元，透過勉勵分享與專題演講，為學子帶來深具啟發的學習體驗，對其品格塑造與學業發展產生積極正面的影響。
當天，文教委員會主任曾煥眉、副主任留牡丹，外交委員會副主任莊南文，以及理事張其安等領導親臨現場指導，充分展現本會對青年教育與人才培育的重視與長期支持。
活動在溫馨感人的「驚喜時刻（Serendipity Session）」中揭開序幕，由「點亮未來」學友會成員、同時也是本會西文秘書梅西卡主持。適逢母親節前夕，活動特別以「感恩母愛」為主題，鼓勵學子分享與母親之間的動人故事，真摯表達感謝與愛意。現場氣氛溫暖動人，學子們在交流中相互共鳴，情感連結更加深厚。
本次講座邀請菲律濱師範大學二〇一二年畢業生Mary Grace Masibag擔任主講人。她擁有文學學士及中學教育學士學位，主修英文文學，並以《用心連結：掌握建立真誠人際關係的技巧（Harness the Heart: Mastering the Skills That Build Meaningful Connections）》為題發表演講。主講人強調有效溝通與建立真誠人際關係的重要性，並提供實用技巧，協助學子在日常生活中強化與他人的互動。同時，她也坦誠分享自身求學與職涯歷程中的挑戰與成就，為學子們帶來寶貴啟發與前進動力。
為提升互動性與參與感，現場安排了「訊息傳遞遊戲（Pass the Message）」及感恩分享等趣味活動，讓學子在輕鬆氛圍中練習溝通技巧，並深化感恩意識。講座結束後，本會特別向Mary Grace Masibag主講人致贈感謝狀，並合影留念。
文教委員會理事張其安代表發表激勵感言。他高度肯定學子們在講座中的專注與熱情，並勉勵大家不僅要追求學業上的進步，更要懂得珍惜人與人之間的真誠連結，將今日所學的溝通與感恩技巧，落實於日常生活之中。張理事也鼓勵學子們以主講人為榜樣，勇於面對挑戰，堅持夢想，未來成為社會的棟樑，並回饋助人，讓愛與希望持續傳承。
活動在溫馨愉悅的氣氛中圓滿落幕。學子們一邊享用本會精心準備的午餐，一邊相互交流、暢談心得，不僅拉近了彼此的距離，也更加深了對助學方案的凝聚力與歸屬感。
此次修養講座融合感恩體驗、溝通實作與生命故事分享，讓學子在真情流露中體會母愛的深刻，在互動遊戲中掌握真誠連結的技巧，並從主講人的求學與職涯歷程中汲取前行力量。整場活動兼具感性與知性，具體落實「點亮未來」助學方案所追求的全人教育理念，不僅提升學子的人際溝通與自我反思能力，更強化了他們對自我成長與社會責任的認知。
