On 12 August 2026, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Gerald German, Mayor of Pateros, to facilitate the official turnover of 100 Philippine flags and 100 raincoats for the benefit of the municipality’s local traffic enforcement officers. Representing CFBCI, Trade and Commerce Committee Vice Chairman Jack Wong and Plenary Member Aldwin Tan attended the courtesy meeting.
At the Pateros Municipal Hall, CFBCI representatives were warmly received by Mayor German, together with other municipal officials, namely Hon. Allan Dela Cruz, Councilor; Ms. Gie Dela Peña, Municipal Administrator; Mr. Bogic Go Raymundo, Sports Development Officer; Hon. Ayie Ampe, Former Councilor; and Hon. Ryan Millares, Former Chairman of the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation.
Pateros is the smallest municipality in Metro Manila, covering approximately 1.2 square kilometers and home to around 65,000 residents. Situated along the Marikina River, it shares borders with Taguig and Makati and is recognized for its close-knit community, historic neighborhoods, and traditional industries, particularly the production of balut and salted eggs.
Despite its limited land area, Pateros holds an important strategic position within Metro Manila and continues to advance initiatives in infrastructure, public services, livelihood, education, and disaster resilience. In previous years, CFBCI also conducted its Operation Brotherhood in the municipality, particularly during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, through which rice packs were distributed to residents of Pateros.
These past initiatives were warmly recalled by Mayor German, who expressed his sincere appreciation for CFBCI’s continued support and commitment to the municipality. Looking ahead, CFBCI, under the leadership of President Gerald Uy Chan, will continue to extend its support to Pateros and other communities across Metro Manila.
The courtesy visit concluded with the official turnover of the Philippine flags and raincoats from CFBCI. Mayor German expressed his assurance that the donations would provide valuable assistance to the municipality’s traffic enforcement personnel, particularly as they continue to perform their duties amid the ongoing rainy season.
