On 15 April 2026, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) paid a courtesy visit to , ‘ . The meeting was successfully held at Chinese Embassy in Makati City.
The delegation, led by President Gerald Uy Chan, discussed with the Ambassador key initiatives of the organization, including its very own scholarship program for indigent college students and social welfare projects. The Ambassador expressed his utmost support for these initiatives and is looking forward to collaborating with CFBCI to further strengthen the friendship between the Philippines and China.
The Ambassador personally received the delegation, joined by Hon. Wang Minhao, Director of the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines and other officials, in a warm and cordial welcome. President Chan was joined by other officers of CFBCI, namely Honorary President Allan Wong But Loy, Honorary President Alejandro Co, Executive Vice President Paul Yeung, Vice President Willy Chuakimtong, Vice President Antonio Tan, Director Ng Kong Kiong, Director Mylene Hao Co, Director Jimmy Ang, Director Richard Yao, Director Robert Chua, and Corporate Secretary Henry Go.
During the discussion, CFBCI presented its organizational history, founding principles, and longstanding contributions to economic collaboration and cultural exchange, underscoring its role as an active bridge of friendship between the Philippines and China. CFBCI representatives also reaffirmed their intent to further strengthen this role through sustained engagement, expanded programs, and closer coordination with the Embassy.
Ambassador Jing Quan delivered a substantive speech outlining priority sectors for future cooperation, particularly in agriculture, tourism, and technology. He emphasized ongoing efforts to expand direct flight connectivity to key tourist destinations as a means of strengthening economic and cultural linkages.
The Ambassador further highlighted strong confidence among Chinese enterprises in the Philippine market, identifying emerging sectors such as renewable energy, electric vehicles, and medical artificial intelligence as high-potential areas for bilateral investment and collaboration. He also noted that, despite external challenges in the South China Sea, the overall situation remains stable and that continued dialogue and cooperation, particularly in energy development, can convert challenges into opportunities.
On governance and security matters, Ambassador Jing underscored the Embassy’s close coordination with Philippine authorities in addressing cross-border criminal activity, including the lawful repatriation of individuals involved in illegal operations. Both sides also explored concrete initiatives to advance cooperation, including visa facilitation, academic exchanges under CFBCI’s scholarship program, technical training partnerships, and enhanced business matching and supply chain integration.
Furthermore, the Ambassador encouraged CFBCI to organize delegations to China to deepen understanding of its economic landscape, assuring policy guidance and institutional support from the Embassy. The meeting concluded with the presentation of commemorative tokens and a shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.
菲華工商總會訊：為了進一步深化菲中經貿務實合作與民間友好交流，本會理事長曾國強率領本會核心領導團隊，於二零二六年四月十五日（星期三）下午，前往位於馬加智市，禮節性拜會中國駐菲律濱大使館井泉大使。井泉大使親自接見，領僑處主任汪旻皓等使館官員陪同在場熱情迎接。
隨同拜會的領導成員包括名譽理事長黃拔來、許長安，執行副理事長楊良田，副理事長蔡金東、陳華民，以及董事黃光強、侯逸蘭、洪海濱、姚慶祕、蔡文微，立案秘書吳恆利與中文秘書蔡艷霞等。隨即舉行座談，雙方就多項具有前瞻性的合作議題展開深入且廣泛交流，現場氣氛融洽且熱烈。
活動伊始，本會中文秘書蔡艷霞向井泉大使、汪旻皓主任等使館官員逐一介紹本會領導成員，隨後，執行副理事長楊良田詳盡介紹了本會的發展歷程與創會宗旨，並回顧了歷年來在經貿對接及人文交流等領域推動的多元化活動，充分展現了本會長期以來作為菲中友好橋梁的紮實成果與使命感。
曾國強理事長在致詞中，首先對井泉大使百忙之中親切接見表示誠摯謝忱。他回顧道，本會長期深耕文化慶典、慈善公益及青年交流，旨在築牢兩國友好的民意基礎。曾理事長強調，本會未來將進一步發揮「橋樑紐帶」優勢，積極對接使館工作，開拓更多元、更務實的合作亮點，共創雙邊互利共贏。曾理事長特別提到，井泉大使自履新後頻繁深入民間、足跡遍布呂宋、未沙耶及棉蘭佬，瞭解民情，體恤僑胞，這種務實進取的精神為華社各界所稱頌，本會對此深感欽佩。
在汪旻皓主任介紹使館官員後，井泉大使發表了熱情洋溢的歡迎詞。他指出，農業、旅遊與科技將是未來合作的重中之重。為進一步落實互惠互利，使館正積極推動更多直飛旅遊城市的航班，透過優化航線網絡，進一步拉近兩國人民的距離，推動雙邊經貿人文交流邁向新階段。
在經貿合作領域，井泉大使特別強調，中國企業對菲律濱市場的長期發展前景依然充滿信心。他具體指出，新能源（如太陽能、垃圾發電）、電動車產業，以及醫療人工智慧（AI）應用等新興領域，正成為雙方合作的增長點，潛力龐大。
談及當前形勢，井大使坦誠表示，雖然受到部分政治因素及不實資訊（假新聞）的干擾，但南海局勢整體維持穩定。他對兩國在油氣資源勘探開發等能源領域的合作持樂觀態度，認為只要雙方堅持對話合作，必能化挑戰為機遇。
在社會治安問題上，井大使指出，使館始終與菲方執法部門保持緊密協作，堅決打擊跨境犯罪活動。近期，中方已依法遣返多名涉嫌在菲從事違法活動的中國籍人士，這充分展現了中方維護法律尊嚴、保障兩國社會治安穩定的堅定決心與實際成效。
座談期間，雙方針對多項具體合作議題進行了深入探討。其中包括：積極推動菲律濱居民赴華簽證便利化，以促進民間往來；本會「點亮未來」助學項目受助學生赴華深造進修的可行性；加強消防專業人員的技術培訓合作；以及深化兩國企業間的商業配對與供應鏈精準對接，為雙邊貿易注入新動力。
展望未來，井泉大使勉勵本會發揮工商界特有的影響力，助推菲中經貿往來。他指出，組團赴華考察是了解中國發展動能最直接的方式，歡迎本會成員前往尋找投資與合作契機。井大使強調，使館將在政策指導與流程辦理上提供積極協助，為菲華商人赴華發展「保駕護航」。
