To celebrate the “51st Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between the Republic of the Philippines and the People’s Republic of China,” the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI), in partnership with the Philippine Ling Nam Athletic Federation, will host the 2026 CFBCI Traditional Lion Dance Invitational Cup.

The prestigious competition will take place on May 31, 2026 (Sunday) at the SM San Lazaro Mall Event Center in Manila, with the Opening Ceremony scheduled at 10:30 a.m., followed by an awards ceremony at 6:00 p.m. on the same day. Through this project, CFBCI is aiming to promote traditional Chinese dragon and lion dance culture while strengthening cultural exchange between the two nations.

The competition will feature Southern Lion dance performances, with each team composed of 8 to 10 members performing within a 10-minute routine that highlights coordination, strength, and artistic expression. It is divided into two categories: the “School Division” and “Club Division,” featuring participating teams from various Chinese schools and martial arts associations across Metro Manila and other provinces. This year also introduces a new “Dragon Ribbon Dance” category, adding a fresh and dynamic element to the competition with six participating teams.

Through this event, Chinese schools and dragon and lion dance troupes will come together to showcase the richness of intangible cultural heritage through vibrant performances. The initiative serves as a testament to CFBCI’s longstanding commitment to fostering friendship between the Philippines and China and promoting traditional Chinese culture among the younger generation.

菲華工商總會訊：為隆重慶祝菲中建交五十一週年，弘揚中華優秀傳統龍獅文化，促進菲中民間文化交流，本會特聯合菲律濱嶺南國術總會，訂於二○二六年五月三十一日（星期日）上午十時三十分，假馬尼拉市SM San Lazaro商場活動中心，盛大舉行二○二六年「工商盃」民間傳統舞獅邀請賽開幕典禮，並於當日下午六時舉行頒獎儀式。

本屆賽事採南獅競技形式進行，每隊由八至十名隊員組成，須於十分鐘內充分展現隊伍默契，以及力與美兼備的高超技藝。比賽分為「學校組」與「龍獅團組」兩大組別。學校組共有四所學校，共六支隊伍參賽，包括北黎剎育仁中學Ａ隊、Ｂ隊，中西學院Ａ隊、Ｂ隊，天主教培德中學，以及僑中學院；龍獅團組則由四個龍獅團，共五支隊伍參賽，包括菲律濱嶺南國術總會、仙朝峨體育會龍獅武術隊、怡朗文藝聯盟Ａ隊及Ｂ隊，以及拉古坂熊猫龍獅武術隊。

此外，今年更首次增設「舞龍彩帶賽」，為賽事注入嶄新亮點。共有六支隊伍參與競逐，分別為：北黎剎育仁中學、中西學院、天主教培德中學、僑中學院、仙朝峨體育會龍獅武術隊，以及拉古坂熊猫龍獅武術隊，勢必帶來氣勢磅礴、色彩繽紛的精彩演出。

屆時來自大岷區、怡朗、仙朝峨及拉古坂等地的華校與龍獅團將齊聚一堂，同台獻技，以精湛的舞龍舞獅表演，展現中華傳統體藝文化之魅力與精神，為現場觀眾呈獻一場熱鬧非凡、精彩可期的非遺文化饗宴。
