On 10 June 2026, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) paid a courtesy visit to the office of Hon. Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan to formally turn over donations of Philippine flags and raincoats to the City Government of Caloocan.
On behalf of CFBCI, President Gerald Uy Chan attended the event along with Executive Vice President Paul Yeung, Vice President Willy Chuakimtong, Director Gregorio Lagamayo, Director Stella Lim, and other officers and members.
The initiative forms part of CFBCI’s continuing commitment to support local government units and contribute to programs that promote civic responsibility, public service, and community welfare. The turnover also served as an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the private sector and local government in advancing projects that benefit the public.
As a symbol of national pride, unity, and resilience, the Philippine flag represents the values and aspirations that bind Filipinos together. Through this donation, CFBCI seeks to encourage the proper and prominent display of the national flag in government offices, public spaces, and other appropriate areas, reinforcing respect for the nation’s heritage and fostering a deeper sense of patriotism among citizens. CFBCI believes that cultivating national consciousness is essential in building stronger and more engaged communities.
In addition to the Philippine flags, CFBCI donated raincoats intended to support the city’s law enforcement and traffic management personnel, who continue to perform their duties despite challenging weather conditions. CFBCI Club hopes that this modest contribution will help ensure their comfort and safety as they work tirelessly to maintain peace, order, and mobility within the city.
CFBCI was likewise honored to pay a courtesy call on Hon. Oscar “OCA” Malapitan, Representative of Caloocan 1st District, expressing its appreciation for his public service and reaffirming CFBCI’s commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships that contribute to local development and economic progress.
