In the afternoon of 20 March 2024, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) successfully held the second monthly meeting of its 14th Plenary Council. More than 50 plenary members from Metro Manila and selected provinces attended the said meeting which was held at CFBCI 8th Floor Auditorium at Sky 1 Tower, Binondo, Manila.
In the evening, President Samuel Lee Uy presided over the meeting. Honorary Vice President Johnny Lee, Executive Vice President Gerald Uy Chan, Vice President Jocelyn See, Vice President Antonio Tan, and Ms. Ellen Chong sat beside him on the stage. After a brief introduction, President Uy led the oath-taking ceremony dedicated to members who were not able to attend the 13th Biennial National Convention of the organization last 20 February 2024.
Then, Director and Treasurer Richard Alviar presented the monthly financial report of the organization, Ms. Chong discussed the focal points of the meeting, and Ms. Mexica Bausa provided a brief overview of projects and activities facilitated by the organization in the past two months. Afterward, all the members from other provinces and the new members from Metro Manila were invited to make a brief introduction of themselves.
In his speech, President Uy expressed his deepest gratitude to all the members of CFBCI for gracing the meeting with their active attendance and hoped that they will continue to support the organization in its future initiatives. The meeting then proceeded to the discussion of the agenda points wherein council members actively spoke, contributed their ideas, and put forward their personal opinions. After a productive deliberation, a consensus was reached on each matter discussed, and a number of important proposals were endorsed.
Before the end of the meeting, we offered birthday hats to all celebrants in the month March, sang for them, blew out the candles, and cut the cake, making the atmosphere of the meeting warm and lively. The sumptuous banquet was hosted by President Uy to show his gratitude for the support of all attending plenary members. Vice Chairman Liu Wei generously provided AICE brand ice cream, and Vice Chairman Jimmy Ang brought delicious chia bread for dessert.
菲華工商總會訊：本會於二零二四年三月二十日（星期三）下午假本會八樓禮堂召開第十四屆理事會第二次會議。來自大岷地區、丹轆、米骨、蜂牙絲蘭及描東岸等地區五十餘位理事踴躍出席。秘書處為每位出席的理事別上名牌，並安排各組委員會同仁同桌，方便彼此認識交流。
當晚由理事長黃書瑋親自主持會議，名譽副理事長李少平，執行副理事長曾國強，副理事長施茵茵及副理事長陳華民等在台上就坐；首由理事長黃書瑋為未能出席第十四屆理事會就職儀式的新屆理事：曾煥眉，柯偉順，侯逸蘭，佘玲玲，呂偉利，林金戥等擔任監誓員，完成入會宣誓儀式。接著由董事兼司庫曾煥眉做財政報告，秘書蔡艷霞會務報告，西文秘書梅西卡用簡報彙報各項出席和舉辦的活動。隨後，邀請所有外省成員和馬尼拉新加入的成員做簡單的自我介紹。
理事長黃書瑋致詞時，感謝來自各地的理事出席第二次理事會會議，期盼所有與會理事日後能夠繼續踴躍參加菲華工商總會的各項活動，並且鼓勵大家在會議中提供寶貴意見，共同商討未來二年的工作方針。接著進入討論事項，與會理事積極發言，獻言獻策，提出個人見解，經審議對議題內容達成共識，通過多項重要方案。會議結束前，大家為本會三月份所有壽星理事戴上生日帽子，唱生日歌、吹蠟燭、切蛋糕，會場氣氛熱鬧滾滾。
當天晚宴由理事長黃書瑋熱情招待豐盛自助餐點，借此向所有與會理事表達感謝支持之情。本會常務理事劉衛提供艾雪(AICE)品牌冰淇淋，常務理事洪海濱帶來麻糬麵包,，供餐後甜品，在此一併致謝。
