On March 24, 2024, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) was invited to attend the 80th to 81st Officers Induction Ceremony of the Filipino-Chinese Wei Due Fraternity, Inc. held in the fifth floor auditorium of the Fraternity’s building located in Binondo, Manila.
On behalf of CFBCI President Samuel Lee Uy, Vice President Paul Yeung delivered a heartwarming congratulatory speech to the association’s batch officers and youth members. President Emeritus Alejandro Co, Vice President Antonio Tan, and Vice Chairman Benito Uy were also present at the event to join the celebration.
The ceremony was chaired by Honorary President Chen Rongzhao who also delivered a speech expressing his deepest gratitude to the previous Presidents of the association and to his supportive fellow members. He also expressed his optimism with the leadership of the new President, Mr. Benny Aw.
Moreover, Honorary President Yao Jinghui served as the inducting officer who administered the oath of office to the new set of officers. More speeches from previous officers of the Fraternity were heard and received by the attendees with utmost pleasure.
In his speech, CFBCI Vice President Yeung congratulated the new officers of the association and highlighted its consistent success in promoting positive values passed down by their ancestors, facilitating harmony between clans, and contributing in the Chinese-Filipino community’s collective pursuit of a brighter future. Like Mr. Yao, he is also positive that the association will continue in achieving greater heights under the leadership of its new roster of officers.
The ceremony was graced with the attendance of many guests from numerous backgrounds who really enjoyed the series of cultural performances. Finally, the Executive Vice President, Mr. Yao Jiale, gave a speech of gratitude, and the new leaders went up to the stage to toast to all the guests, and the ceremony ended successfully.
菲華工商總會訊：本會副理事長楊良田，於二○二四年三月二十四日（星期日）中午，代表理事長黃書瑋出席菲華媯汭五姓聯宗總會第八十連八十一屆職員就職典禮，並致詞。大會由名譽主席陳榮照擔任主席、名譽主席姚敬輝監誓、永遠榮譽主席陳祖從主講。本會故榮譽理事長胡炳南先生令三郎胡爾明榮膺新屆主席，實至名歸，可喜可賀。本會榮譽理事長許長安，副理事長陳華民，常務理事謝文炳，均到場祝賀，並且見證新舊主席交接。
副理事長楊良田致詞時，首先向所有菲華媯汭五姓聯宗總會新屆職員祝賀，並表示媯汭自成立以來始終以「五姓聯宗，弘揚祖德，敦宗睦族，共鑄輝煌」為宗旨，在發展公益福利、支持華文教育方面，建樹良多、成績斐然；媯汭歷年來人才輩出，在華社各主要團體擔任領導要職，令人敬佩，會務蓬勃發展，充滿了活力與朝氣，取得驕人的成績。他也提到新屆主席胡爾明乃是菲華工商總會故榮譽理事長胡炳南令三郎，事業有成、學富五車、處事精明、僑社棟樑，並深信媯汭在他的英明領導及全體會員的共同努力下，發揮宗親之集體力量，萬眾一心，會務必定能蒸蒸日上、更上一層樓。最後祝願菲華媯汭五姓聯宗總會繁榮富強，永續傳承。
當天就職典禮，賓客雲集、高朋滿座，主辦單位還精心安排一系列的文娛節目，場面很是熱鬧。最後由執行副主席姚嘉樂致謝詞，新屆領導上台向所有來賓敬酒致意後，圓滿結束。
