On 21 March 2025, Mr. PHUNG VAN THANH, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Viet Nam in the Philippines, visited the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) for a courtesy meeting. During the meeting, Mr. Phung introduced the economic outlook in Vietnam and the two parties discussed the details of the upcoming Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo) 2025 where the CFBCI Young Entrepreneurs' Committee will participate as a delegation from the Philippines.

On behalf of CFBCI, the following officers and members attended the courtesy meeting: Samuel Lee Uy, President; Henry Go, Corporate Secretary; Peter Chua, Vice Chairman & YEC Delegation Head; Jimmy Ang, Vice Chairman; Jefferson Cheng, Vice Chairman; Nathalie Wong, Vice Chairman; Nixon Co, Plenary Member; Teresa Co, Member (Batangas); Shelby Hernandez, Member; Kristine Cheng, Member; and Paul Gabriel Co, Member. Moderating the meeting was Ms. Mexica Bausa, English Secretary.

The meeting began at 2:00 PM with some welcome remarks from President Uy through which he thanked the Viet Nam Embassy, especially the office of the trade attaché, for its generous assistance to the CFBCI-YEC delegation. In his speech, he also recognized the hard work and persistent efforts of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Committee to empower young leaders in trade and industry sector. Lastly, the President expressed his well wishes to the 24-member delegation who will be flying to Vietnam on March 29, and will stay there until April 4.

“I pray that your flight be safe and smooth, and may all of you enjoy the entirety of the trade visit. Vietnam is a breath-taking country, not only because of its scenic spots, but because of the warm hearts and kindness of its people,” he said.

Afterwards, Ms. Bausa introduced the officers and members of CFBCI in attendance, and facilitated the viewing of the official CFBCI AVP. Then, Mr. Phung Van Thanh delivered a speech of gratitude, emphasizing the utmost appreciation of the Viet Nam Embassy for CFBCI’s interest in visiting their country and exploring trade opportunities. He also showed an informative video detailing the economic outlook of Vietnam and its growing industries. At present, Vietnam is the number one exporter of rice in the Philippines and has a booming tourism.

Following his speech was a short exchange of questions and answers between the two parties. Ms. Bausa also gave an overview of the delegation’s travel itinerary featuring several of the scenic spots in Vietnam, the Vietnam Expo 2025, and a potential factory visit. The meeting ended with the presentation of the CFBCI coffee table book and short photo opportunity. The attending officers and members of CFBCI were delighted to receive Vietnamese Coffee and sweet delicacies brought by Mr. Phung.

菲華工商總會訊：本會於三月十九日（星期三）下午召開第十四屆第十四次理事會議後，為青年企業委員會「二零二五越南商務考察團」舉行歡送會。本次考察團由督導施茵茵副理事長擔任團長，主任杜祖蔭董事任副團長，團員二十名，已於三月廿九日（星期六）上午啟程前往越南，並將於四月四日返國。期間，考察團將參與「二零二五年越南國際貿易博覽會」（Vietnam Expo），並深入考察當地具發展潛力的製造業與工廠，以促進菲越兩國商業交流與合作。

考察團出發前，於三月廿一日（星期五）下午，接待越南駐菲律濱大使館商務參贊 Phung Van Thanh 的禮訪，受到理事長黃書瑋及青年企業委員會多位同仁的熱烈歡迎，雙方就進一步促進菲越商業合作進行深入交流。
理事長黃書瑋致歡迎詞時，感謝越南駐菲大使館及商務參贊辦公室對此次考察團的熱情協助。他表示，越南擁有豐富的自然資源及熱情友善的人民，相信此行將是考察團成員難以忘懷的經歷。他並高度讚揚青年企業委員會在培養未來商業領袖方面的努力，並為即將啟程的代表團送上最誠摯的祝福，期盼團員們滿載而歸。
Phung Van Thanh 參贊則對本會的熱情接待表示感謝，並闡述越南經濟發展前景，同時詳細介紹即將舉辦的「二零二五年越南國際貿易博覽會」。他高度肯定本會青年企業委員會此次組團赴越南考察，認為此舉將進一步深化兩國的商貿合作關係。
座談期間，雙方進行簡要的問答交流，並播放本會介紹影片，讓Phung Van Thanh 參贊更深入了解本會的成立宗旨及各項活動。西文秘書梅西卡向與會貴賓介紹此次考察團行程，重點涵蓋參訪越南多處知名景點、參與「二零二五年越南國際貿易博覽會」，以及考察當地具潛力的製造業等。
活動最後，理事長黃書瑋代表本會贈送Phung Van Thanh 參贊本會二十週年紀念特刊，雙方合影留念，整場交流在友好氛圍中圓滿落幕。
