The Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) in the evening of January 28, 2023, was invited by Senator Imee Marcos to a Chinese New Year dinner at her residence to entertain her friends from the mainstream and Chinese community. Senator Imee Marcos and former First Lady Imelda Marcos warmly welcomed the guests. They wished each other a happy New Year.

In her welcoming remarks, Senator Imee Marcos extended a warm welcome to all and wished everyone a blessed and prosperous Chinese New Year. She said that our ancestors were also Chinese and we have Chinese blood in our veins. Since Chinese New Year is a major festival for Chinese people at home and abroad, it is important for us, as ethnic Chinese, to celebrate this traditional Chinese festival. The Senator also gave full recognition to the contributions of the local Chinese community to the Philippine society. She said that this evening's banquet was also a chance to spend time with friends from the Chinese community, to bond and to promote friendship.

菲華工商總會訊：本會理事長謝國萬，執行副理事長黃書瑋，副理事長林天德、施茵茵聯袂於元月二十八日晚，應參議員艾米‧馬科斯之邀，出席在其府上舉行的具有中國特色的春節晚宴，招待主流社會及華社的好朋友，部分參丶眾議員丶內閣官員丶外交使節和社會賢達應邀出席。參議員艾米‧馬科斯和前第一夫人伊美黛‧馬科斯熱情接待到場賓客。大家互道新春快樂，會場一片喜氣洋洋。

艾米‧馬科斯參議員在致歡迎詞中，對大家的蒞臨表示無任歡迎，同時祝願大家新春納福，如意吉祥！她說，我們的祖先亦是中國人，身上流著華人血統，由於春節是海內外華人的一個重大節日，所以身為華裔，也應該在這華人的傳統節日裡慶祝這個佳節。參議員也對本地華人華僑對菲律濱國家社會所作的諸多貢獻，給予充分肯定。她說，是晚的宴會也是想跟各位華社好友們共度佳節，聯絡感情，增進彼此之間的友誼。
