The Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) is pleased to announce that CFBCI President, Mr. Stephen Sia, and other representatives of the Filipino-Chinese community were invited to fly to Beijing to attend the “第三屆世界華僑華人工商大會” (Third World Chinese Business Conference), which was co-organized by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office (OCAO)and the All China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) from October 30th to 31st, 2023.

More than 400 representatives from more than 100 countries around the world participated in the conference, which was a definite success. Such a momentous event was graced with the attendance of various esteemed individuals from the government, public, and private sectors.

Mr. Sia attended the forum on the second day which commemorates the 10th anniversary of the One Belt, One Road Initiative (OBOR). Over the past ten years, the world has witnessed the realization of the vision of the said Initiative, fostering positive changes in many regions worldwide. Thus, the conference has discussed in-depth details on the conduct of the Initiative in various countries and the new opportunities it has brought.

Topics such as high-speed development, trade and industry trends, and future business opportunities were also tackled during the forum. The discussion not only focused on international linkages, but also touched upon domestic links and the promotion of Chinese enterprises to extend beyond borders.

Mr Sia and the rest of the delegates, including Dr. Cecilio Kwok Pedro and Mr. Anson Tan, were very glad to be invited to these events and hear about these developments.

菲華工商總會訊：本會理事長謝國萬和菲律濱華社有關團體代表應邀飛往北京，出席於十月卅日至卅一日，由國務院僑辦、中國僑聯、全國工商聯共同主辦的「第三屆世界華僑華人工商大會」。來自全球百餘個國家和地區的四百餘名華僑華人代表參加大會，英杰薈萃，共襄盛舉。

本屆世界華僑華人工商會以「應對新挑戰，打握新機遇，實現新發展」為主題；中共中央政治局委員、中央統戰部部長石泰峰出席大會開幕式並講話，全國政協副主席、全國工商聯主席高雲龍，中國僑聯黨組書記、主席萬立駿出席開幕式並致辭。中央統戰部副部長、國務院僑辦主任陳旭主持開幕式。中國僑聯副主席程紅出席開幕式等有關活動。

理事長謝國萬還出席了第二天的平行論壇。今年正值共建「一帶一路」倡議提出十週年。十年來，海外華僑華人見證「一帶一路」始於願景，成於行動。大會深入交流了共建「一帶一路」提倡在各國的生動實踐及其帶來的新機遇，共話高質量發展，暢敘行業動向，尋找未來商機。本次大會不僅聚焦海外，更著眼於海內外聯動，不僅關注華僑華人的引進，也推動中國企業走出去。

世界華僑華人工商大會為國務院僑辦於二零一五年創辦，每兩年舉辦一屆。作為全球性華僑華人工商界盛會，世界華僑華人工商大會著力加強全球華商與祖（籍）國聯繫，引導僑胞在積極參與中國式現代化建設、助力中國高品質發展和高水準對外開放中實現自身事業更大發展，促進全球經貿投資合作，增進民間友好交往，推動中外文明交流互鑒，受到海內外各界關注，已成為具有世界影響力的華僑華人工商界同各方對話交流、對接合作的重要平臺。
