On 17 April 2024, Wednesday, at Quezon City Sports Club, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) convened the 3rd Monthly Plenary Meeting of its 14th Plenary Council led by President Samuel Lee Uy. After the productive meeting, Cong. Wilbert T. Lee, representative of AGRI Party-list and plenary member of CFBCI External Affairs Committee, delivered an excellent keynote speech on the recent initiatives of AGRI Partylist, particularly on championing the rights and welfare of the agricultural sector.

Cong. Lee graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in Business Administration. Prior to taking up public office, he was a prominent entrepreneur who inherited his father’s business and expanded it to the LKY Group of Companies today, which currently employs more than 3,000 people in a wide range of industries, including food, construction, and real estate. To further help his countrymen, he also established the LKY Foundation which provides relief and support to the sick and victims of natural calamities.

In his speech, Cong. Lee talked about the recent policies he pushed for including the “Salt Development Act of the Philippines", “Cheap Rice Bill", and the “Estate Tax Amnesty". His in-depth and informative speech was very impressive, which is a strong evidence that Rep. Lee is a competitive politician who understands people’s plight and dares to fight for their calls. At the end of the speech, a short question and answer segment was opened. Several members of the organization asked substantive questions to which Cong. Lee provided detailed supplementary replies.

Finally, Cong. Lee called on the leadership of CFBCI to continue helping to increase the country’s productivity, create more job opportunities, and assist the working class to achieve a better income. Afterwards, President Uy presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the amazing keynote speaker, and during the group photo, Cong. Lee did the ‘W sign’ and shouted out his motto, “Winner Tayo Lahat!”

During the dinner, Vice Chairman Jimmy Ang, together with his son, Archt. Justin Ang (J-CHANNEL INGRIDIENTS), and Plenary Member Cary Chua (VALIANT ROLL FORMING SALES CORPORATION), went up to the stage to introduce their respective businesses in order to have an in-depth exchange of information with other interested members of the organization.

On that day, CFBCI also celebrated the birthday of April celebrants, Executive Vice President Gerald Uy Chan and Vice Chairman Linda Lao, which was a lively and warm scene.

菲華工商總會訊：本會第十四屆第三次理事會議於四月十七日（星期三）下午假計順市體育俱樂部（Quezon City Sports Club）宴會廳召開，由本會理事長黃書瑋親自主持。理事會議結束後，邀請農業政黨國會代表李偉傑眾議員，亦為本會外交委員會理事 (Congressman Wilbert T. Lee) 作為貴賓和主講人，分享政府目前的各項農業及健保新政策，以提升大家的法令知識。

華裔眾議員李偉傑是聖多道瑪斯大學商科企業管理學系畢業，在擔任公職前是一位傑出的企業家，早年繼承父業，並將生意發揚光大，創辦了LKY集團，旗下公司目前共有員工超過三千人，行業涵蓋食品、建築及房地產等。李偉傑眾議員年輕有為，並胸懷大志，為了能更有效地幫助菲律濱同胞，他成立了LKY慈善基金會，主要對弱勢病患及遭受天災民眾為服務對象，回饋社會。

李偉傑眾議員在講說中分享了他在國會所提案的「菲律濱鹽業發展法」、「廉價大米法案」、「遺產稅特赦」及力推菲律濱保健局將視力驗光服務納入其福利項目等，並且說明提出這些法案的原因及法案對本國國民的利益；其深入淺出、言無不盡的演說，極具感染力，讓與會者體會到李眾議員的深思遠慮，瞭解民生疾苦，敢於為民請命。在演說結束之後，現場接受提問，本會執行副理事長曾國強，常務理事柯偉順律師、洪海濱，理事張其安、許純維、楊錦程等人，分別對議題提出實質性問題，李眾議員都一一詳盡補充解答。最後李眾議員呼籲本會領導同仁幫助提高本國生產力、創造更多就業機會，讓工人階級有更好的收入。結束前，理事長黃書瑋頒贈感謝狀予李偉傑眾議員，全體合影時，比出Ｗ手勢，並喊出李眾議員的口號Winner Tayo Lahat! 留念。

聚餐期間，本會商務委員會副主任洪海濱偕其公子洪瑞鴻(J-CHANNEL INGRIDIENTS)，及外交委員會理事梁清江(VALIANT ROLL FORMING SALES CORPORATION)，分別上台介紹其各自的行業、公司業務及營運狀況；藉此與相同行業，或感興趣的理事會成員做深入交流，把握機會達成商業配對，尋找商機。當天本會還向四月份壽星執行副理事長曾國強和常務理事留牡丹慶生，場面熱鬧而溫馨。
