To promote medical knowledge and public health awareness, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) is collaborating with Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center to host the “October Health Fest” medical lecture series. The health forum will take place on October 15, 2025 (Wednesday) from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at our 8th-floor auditorium.
Three renowned Filipino-Chinese medical experts in obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, and gastroenterology will provide in-depth analysis of prevention and treatment strategies for common modern diseases, helping the public acquire accurate health knowledge. All are welcome to register and attend.
Brief introductions of the three medical experts are as follows:
Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist Dra. Eileen May Young-Sy will present “Menopause & Vaccination,” sharing health management and vaccination recommendations for women entering menopause. Dra. Young-Sy possesses extensive clinical and teaching experience in obstetrics and gynecology, has long been dedicated to promoting women's health education, and excels in both academic and practical fields.
Dr. Timothy Dy, renowned cardiologist, will present “Angiogram, Angioplasty & Bypass,” introducing diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for coronary arteries, including angiography, balloon angioplasty, and bypass surgery. This session aims to help the public understand early detection and management of cardiovascular diseases.
Gastroenterology expert Dr. Jose Tan will discuss “Endoscopy,” explaining its importance and sharing how simple examinations can detect potential gastrointestinal diseases early. With over 30 years of clinical experience specializing in digestive system diagnosis, treatment, and teaching, Dr. Tan is deeply respected by patients and students alike.
