On 10 May 2024, at three o’clock in the afternoon, officers of the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) led by President Samuel Lee Uy warmly welcomed the six-member delegation from Qingpu District, Shanghai, China at the CFBCI Headquarters located in Binondo, Manila. The delegation was accompanied by Mr. Jameson Ong, Special Assistant of Mr. Carlos Chan who is the Chairman of the Liwayway Group and the owner of the Oishi snack brand.
Present to accommodate the delegation comprised of leaders in financial and economic sectors and development and construction institutions in Qingpu District are CFBCI officers namely: President Emeritus Allan Wong But Loy, Honorary Vice President/Auditor Johnny Lee, Vice President Paul Yeung, Vice President Willy Chuakimtong, Director Juan Go, Vice Chairman Ramon Cheng, and Vice Chairman Stella Lim.
In his welcoming speech, CFBCI President Uy expressed his deep admiration of Shanghai in terms of its economic prowess. At present, Shanghai is considered the most important economic center of China with booming finance, trade, and shipping industries. Despite the prevailing territorial disputes between the Philippines and China, a close cooperation between Manila and Shanghai is maintained throughout the years. According to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the bilateral trade between the two countries has been stable and continuous to expand further.
During the meeting, CFBCI was proud to show a video compilation of its social welfare activities and flagship projects that aim to foster economic and cultural exchanges between Filipinos and the Tsinoy community. The delegation watched the video with immense appreciation of the workings of CFBCI and the two parties then proceeded to getting to know each other more through formal introductions and discussing future business opportunities.
All in all, the two parties had a productive meeting which ended with the presentation of the seal of collaboration from CFBCI. The organization also gifted the delegation with its limited edition 20th Anniversary Celebration coffee table book. This meeting acts as a testament that CFBCI constantly acts as a catalyst for the promotion of a sustainable and balanced business development environment in the Philippines.

菲華工商總會訊：由上海市青浦區人大常委會副主任何強所率領的「上海市青浦區訪菲團」，成員有：青浦區人大常委會財經委主任虞駿，青浦區財政局副局長蔡雲峰，徐涇鎮黨委委員黃英，華新鎮副鎮長徐曉蘭及西虹橋商務區開發建設指揮部辦公室副主任康峻等人，在本會董事施恭旗特使的高級助理、菲律濱宋慶齡基金會秘書長王勇先生的陪同下，於五月十日（星期五）下午三時禮訪本會，受到本會理事長黃書瑋，榮譽理事長黃拔來，名譽副理事長李少平，副理事長楊良田、蔡金東，董事洪香泉，及常務理事莊南文、施惠萍等熱情接待，雙方進行親切交流。
座談會首先由黃書瑋理事長致歡迎詞，他表示，上海市是中國的經濟、金融、貿易、航運、商業、和對外開放中心，也是一座港口城市，是中國人口第二多的城市，自二十世紀以來，上海已成為中國最重要的經濟中心及亞洲最大的城市之一；儘管菲中領土爭端多年來一直備受關注，但這不應妨礙兩國在其他領域保持密切合作，並且根據菲律濱貿工部資料顯示，菲律濱與中國之間的雙邊貿易不僅穩定，而且不斷增長。他也指出，本會自一九九八年成立以來，一直秉持著「取之社會，用之社會」的觀念，積極參與社會公益活動，長期支持菲律濱各政府單位所推動的各項方案及活動，受到主流社會和華社的肯定與重視；為了讓華人能夠在菲律濱主流社會打好基礎，安居樂業，本會在促進中菲兩國之間的經濟文化交流和兩族人民友誼，和諧融合，作出積極的貢獻，一方面支持協助菲律濱政府濟貧脫貧，商業資訊及教育的各項方案，同時也為中國政府推動「一帶一路」建設工作搭建橋樑，發揮服務菲律濱華社及主流社會的功能。這次上海市青浦區訪菲團的來訪，為雙方提供了一次難得的交流機會，希望透過這次座談，互相認識、增進了解，尋找商機，爭取合作雙贏。最後祝願上海市青浦區訪菲團此次菲律濱之行順利圓滿成功。
隨後，由秘書蔡艷霞介紹出席的本會領導同仁，並播放本會簡介影片。王勇先生則向本會領導同仁一一介紹「上海市青浦區訪菲團」的所有成員。
何強副主任致詞時，感謝本會領導同仁的熱情接待，稱讚菲華工商總會在立會的二十六年來為社會公益事業和教育文化建設做出了卓越貢獻，並介紹上海市青浦區的地理位置及當地經商優勢，產業優勢和基礎建設等各方面概況及發展，誠摯邀請本會領導人前往參觀考察，推動經濟的共同發展。
座談中，本會楊良田副理事長向訪菲團成員介紹，菲律濱華人雖僅佔菲律濱總人口的少數，但對菲律濱經濟發展扮演了非常重要角色；黃拔來榮譽理事長則向參訪團講述了目前菲律濱農業現況；會談中雙方就目前菲中貿易交換意見，互動熱絡，通過交流，增進了相互瞭解，收穫頗豐。
座談最後，本會領導向上海市青浦區訪菲團贈送本會徽章及二十週年紀念特刊，賓主合影後，此次來訪活動圓滿結束。
