On 20 January 2026, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI), in partnership with Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), successfully held the Unveiling of Dedication Marker for the JAA Chairs at the PLM Justo Albert Auditorium. The ceremony formally recognized CFBCI’s donation of auditorium chairs, reaffirming the organization’s steadfast commitment to supporting quality education and strengthening institutional collaboration.
The program commenced with an opening prayer led by a CFBCI scholar, followed by the introduction of the donor and acknowledgment of CFBCI officers by Ms. Dina C. Mendez, Chief of the Resource Generation Office. The event was attended by key CFBCI officers, including President Samuel Lee Uy, Executive Vice President Gerald Chan, Director Richard Alviar, Director William Rogando, Education Committee Vice Chairman Linda Lao, and Education Committee Vice Chairman Ramon Cheng, alongside PLM administrators, faculty members, scholars, and guests.
In his message, CFBCI President Samuel Lee Uy emphasized the organization’s enduring advocacy for education and youth development, underscoring the importance of providing conducive learning environments for students. He noted that the donation reflects CFBCI’s belief in education as a vital investment in the future and a shared responsibility among institutions and community partners. “Nawa’y magsilbi itong munting paalala sa bawat mag-aaral na pinahahalagahan namin ang inyong pagsisikap at pangarap,” President Uy said.
CFBCI also extends its sincere appreciation to Director Gilbert Kua Yan Yee for his invaluable efforts and behind-the-scenes support in ensuring the successful completion of this project. Although he was unable to attend the ceremony, his dedication and commitment were instrumental in bringing this initiative to fruition.
In his speech, PLM President Atty. Domingo Y. Reyes, Jr. expressed the University’s sincere gratitude to CFBCI for its generosity and continued support. He highlighted the value of partnerships such as this in enhancing the University’s facilities and enriching the learning experience of PLM students. The dedication marker was then formally unveiled by President Uy, together with PLM officials, symbolizing the strong and enduring partnership between the two institutions.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of a plaque of gratitude to CFBCI, assisted by Dr. Ronaldo A. Tan, Vice President for Administration, followed by a photo opportunity and closing remarks. The event stood as a meaningful testament to the shared commitment of CFBCI and PLM to academic excellence, service, and the empowerment of future generations.
菲華工商總會訊:作為本會「點亮未來」助學方案的長期策略夥伴,馬尼拉市立大學(Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, PLM)於去年歡慶創校六十週年鑽禧校慶。為襄助該校完善教學設施,本會積極響應其 Justo Albert 大禮堂的裝修建設計劃,雙方簽署禮堂座椅捐贈協議,象徵雙方合作夥伴關係邁向新里程。歷經數月的周密籌備與施工安裝,該項工程已於去年底全面竣工,並於二零二六年一月二十日(星期二)下午,隆重舉行 Justo Albert Auditorium 大禮堂三百五十八張全新座椅捐贈揭幕儀式,本會出席領導同仁包括理事長黃書瑋、執行副理事長曾國強、董事曾煥眉與杜祖蔭、文教委員會副主任留牡丹與莊南文,以及英文秘書梅西卡等人;同時亦有馬尼拉市立大學校長Domingo Y. Reyes, Jr.律師、校方行政主管、教職員、獎助學生及各界來賓兩百多人共襄盛舉。
典禮在本會「點亮未來」助學方案受助生的祈禱中揭開序幕,隨後由馬尼拉市立大學資源發展辦公室主任Dina C. Mendez女士介紹捐贈單位,並致詞歡迎與會貴賓及本會領導同仁。
黃書瑋理事長於致詞中表示,本會一向重視教育與青年培育,深信優質的教學環境是學子逐夢致遠的重要基石。他強調,此次捐贈遠不止於硬體設施的升級,更象徵著菲華工商總會對教育事業與社會責任的恆久承諾。黃理事長更以此勉勵在座學子:「願這些座椅成為一份溫暖的叮嚀,讓每一位奮鬥中的青年知曉:在你們追尋夢想的道路上,始終有社會的力量在珍視與守護。」
此外,本會特別對柯仁義董事於此專案中的鼎力協助與無私奉獻致以誠摯謝忱。今天柯董事雖因故未克親臨揭幕儀式,但其在籌備期間的殫精竭慮與悉心投入,實為本次捐贈計劃圓滿達成的關鍵推手,厥功甚偉。
馬尼拉市立大學校長Domingo Y. Reyes, Jr.律師於致詞中,代表全體師生對本會的慷慨義舉致以最誠摯的謝忱。他高度評價此次合作,認為此類校企夥伴關係不僅實質提升了校園硬體設施,更對優化學習品質產生了深遠且積極的影響。
隨後,理事長黃書瑋在校方行政主管的陪同下,共同為大禮堂捐贈銘牌揭幕,隨著紅綢緩緩拉開,不僅象徵著設施的正式啟用,更彰顯了本會與馬尼拉市立大學之間穩固長青、攜手並進的深厚情誼。
典禮進入尾聲,由馬尼拉市立大學行政副校長Ronaldo A. Tan博士代表校方,向本會致贈感謝盾牌,並進行合影留念,為典禮畫下圓滿句點。
