In celebration of the Lantern Festival of the Year of the Wood Snake, and the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between the Philippines and China, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) facilitated the “Chinese Lantern Making Competition Awarding Ceremony” on February 9, 2025, Sunday, at Lucky Chinatown Atrium, in collaboration with the City Government of Manila, Manila Chinatown Development Council, Filipino at Tsino Magkaibigan Foundation, the Association of Filipino-Chinese Schools in the Philippines (AFCSP), Hope Christian High School, CHiNOY TV, and Chinatown TV.
The awarding ceremony began at two o’clock in the afternoon which was immediately followed by a cultural presentation segment featuring seven Chinese schools, recipients of CFBCI Pagharap sa Pangarap Scholarship Program, and students of Philippine Normal University. They performed a variety of songs, dances, and choreographies showcasing the vibrant cultures of the Philippines and China. The program was hosted by Mr. Dominique Hao.
The 28 members of our “Pagharap sa Pangarap College Scholarship Program Chorale” sang two Chinese songs, “Zhen Xin Ying Xiong” (The Sincere Hero) and “Da Zhong Guo” (The Great China), which were well received by the audience with their perfect pronunciation and beautiful harmonies.
Afterwards, the Hope Christian High School Dance Troupe performed “Fan Shadow”, which was also appreciated by the audience. Then, the CKSC Duet Songs, Ms. Georgia Ysabela T. Molo and Ms. Georgina Louise T. Molo, sang two famous Chinese ballads which filled the venue with the joyful atmosphere of the Lunar New Year. Next, the Philippine Malabon Cultural Institute performed a Filipino dance called “Bagani” and dazzled the audience with their unique dance moves.
To highlight the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between the Philippines and China, Alfred Baja, a CFBCI scholar, sang the familiar Chinese song “Peng You” (Friend) and the famous Filipino song “Minsan Lang Kita Minahal”. His soft and pleasant voice drew the audience to sing along with him, creating a harmonious atmosphere of friendship between the Philippines and China.
The Jin Nan Alumni Wu Shu Club performed martial arts, with the students displaying a variety of strong and flexible punches and kicks on the stage, demonstrating traditional Chinese culture, which was an eye-opening experience for the audience.
The choir of Northern Yorklin Chorale sang “One Family, One Nation”, with lyrics that read: “The family is the smallest country, the country is a million families, the country in the world, the family in heaven and earth, with a strong country, there will be a rich family,” emphasizing the vital role of families in nation-building.
Then, the Kislap Sining Dance Troupe of Philippine Normal University performed traditional bamboo pole dance (Tinikling) and Mr. Arcie Lin Uy from St. Stephen’s High School sang the famous song “Fortune”, a beautiful song that mesmerized all the attendees.
The finale of the event was the performance of “Go OMIGO” cheerleading by Philippine Cultural College Annex Dance Troupe, with dancers wearing pink tops and white skirts, depicting a youthful and lively atmosphere.
Overall, the cultural presentation segment of the awarding ceremony made the occasion even more special for everyone. With that, CFBCI extends its immense gratitude to all people who supported this program, especially the educational institutions and students who generously shared their time and talent to provide entertainment to the audience. The ceremony ended successfully at 5:30 in the afternoon.
菲華工商總會訊：本會為慶祝乙巳蛇年元宵節暨菲中建交五十週年，於二月八日（星期六）上午聯合馬尼拉市政府，馬尼拉華人區發展委員會，菲中愛心基金，菲律濱華文學校聯合會及嘉南中學舉辦「金蛇慶元宵，菲中永結好」燈籠製作比賽，並於二月九日（星期日）下午二時假美加廣場中庭成功舉辦頒獎典禮。隨後文藝節目匯演，七所華校、本會「點亮未來」助學方案受助生及菲律濱師範大學學生貢獻節目，精湛歌舞和舞術演出，充分展現菲中兩國的獨特的風情文化。慶典活動由郭彥希擔任節目主持人。
首先由本會「點亮未來」合唱團二十八名受助生演唱兩首中文歌曲「真心英雄」及「大中國」，字正腔圓的發音和優美和聲，獲得熱烈的掌聲。
接著由嘉南中學舞蹈隊表演「扇影婆娑」，歌舞升平，深得觀眾的喜愛。
中正學院校園歌手謝雅文同學及謝惠玲同學倆姐妹獻唱「新年慢慢愛」及「彩雲制約」等名曲，聲情並茂，讓會場充滿農曆新年的喜氣。
嗎拉汶文化書院舞蹈隊表演菲律濱著名舞蹈「Bagani」，獨特舞姿讓現場觀眾目不轉睛。
本會「點亮未來」描東岸受助生Alfred Baja為祝賀菲中建交五十週年，特別獻唱大眾耳熟能詳的中文名曲「朋友」及菲律濱名曲「Minsan Lang Kita Minahal」，輕鬆愉快和純厚抒情的歌聲，引來現場聽眾跟著一起唱，現場充滿濃濃的菲中友誼和諧氛圍。
洪門近南中學校友會武術社表演了十八般武藝，學員們在台上虎虎生威，動作敏捷，招式如行雲流水，展現多種剛柔並重的拳腳功夫，彰顯了中華民族傳統文化深厚的底蘊，使眾人大開眼界。
北黎剎育仁中學合唱團獻唱「國家 / One Family, One Nation」，歌詞中：「家是最小國，國是千萬家，在世界的國，在天地的家，有了強的國，才有富的家」，體現了國家富強，民族復興，千家萬戶都好，國家才能好，民族才能興旺。
菲律濱師範大學Kislap Sining舞蹈隊表演傳統竹竿舞(Tinikling)，專業的舞姿、敲擊竹竿的聲音，男女舞者翩翩起舞，時而躍動，時而旋轉，緊湊的節奏，讓觀者跟著心跳加快，目不斜視，待一舞完畢，掌聲不絕於耳。
聖公會中學校園歌手黃貴萍同學獨唱了一首名曲「福氣」，美妙歌聲，令所有與會人士陶醉其中。
最後壓軸，由僑中學院分校表演輕快活潑的「加油，OMIGO」啦啦操，舞者穿著粉紅上衣，白色褲裙，青春活潑的氣息感染現場，最終把氣氛推到最高潮。
乙巳年元宵節文藝匯演，節目緊湊，高潮迭起。在此感謝所有參與演出的各所學校師生提供精彩節目，豐富的表演內容，是一場多元文化的饗宴。慶典會於下午五時卅分圓滿結束。
