On 23 October 2025, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) was honored by the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) as one of its valued scholarship partners during the 3rd Recognition Awards for Collaborative Engagement (R.A.C.E.). On behalf of the organization, CFBCI Vice President and Adviser of Education Committee, Antonio Tan; Education Committee Vice Chairs Linda Lao and Ramon Cheng attended the ceremony.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome message delivered by Prof. Tomas O. Testor, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services. In his speech, he highlighted how PUP strengthens its academic and community impact through meaningful partnerships with external organizations. This set the tone for the event’s objective: to honor alliances that support the university’s mission of nation-building through enrichment of academic programs and research innovation.
Following the welcome message, Engr. Florinda H. Oquindo, Assistant for Student Affairs and Services, introduced the keynote speaker, Hon. Sec. Henry Rhoel Aguda of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). In his keynote address, delivered by a representative, Secretary Aguda discussed emerging technology trends and DICT’s initiatives that foster closer collaboration between academe and industry. He underscored the critical role of digital transformation in enhancing competitiveness, improving public services, and preparing future professionals for an increasingly technology-driven world.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of certificates and recognition to PUP’s outstanding industry partners, presented by PUP Executive Officials. This year, CFBCI is deeply honored to be among the 15 awardees of PUP Office of Scholarship and Financial Assistance. This award honored CFBCI for its strong commitment to supporting the university’s academic programs, student development, and community engagement endeavors.
The event formally closed with a message by Engr. Oquindo, and the singing of the PUP Hymn. It concluded with an Academe–Industry Networking Session, providing an opportunity for stakeholders to explore future collaborations that will continue to empower PUP students and advance the university’s pursuit of innovation and excellence.
菲華工商總會訊：本會於二零二五年十月二十三日（星期四）下午，榮獲菲律濱理工大學（Polytechnic University of the Philippines, PUP）在第三屆「合作夥伴表彰典禮」（Recognition Awards for Collaborative Engagement, R.A.C.E.）中頒發《傑出獎學金合作夥伴獎》。本會理事長黃書瑋委派副理事長兼文教委員會督導陳華民及文教委員會副主任留牡丹及莊南文等人代表出席表彰大會，接受菲律濱理工大學校方高層親頒獎項與致意。此項殊榮展現該校對本會長期致力支持其教育發展、獎助學金計畫及社區服務的高度肯定，並彰顯本會在促進學術進步與社會發展方面的卓越貢獻。
典禮開始，菲律濱理工大學學生事務暨服務副校長 Tomas O. Testor 教授致開幕詞，強調學校透過與產業界及民間團體建立長期合作關係，持續強化教育品質並推動社會創新。隨後由學生事務助理校長Florinda H. Oquindo工程師介紹主講嘉賓，菲律濱資訊與通訊科技部（DICT）部長 Henry Rhoel Aguda（由代表代為宣讀致詞），講述數位轉型與產學協作在培育新世代專業人才及提升國家競爭力中的關鍵作用。
本屆典禮共表彰十五個優秀合作機構，本會名列其中，並獲菲律濱理工大學獎學金暨財務援助辦公室特別嘉獎。本會多年秉持「以教育點亮未來」之理念，透過「點亮未來」助學方案，積極資助菲律濱理工大學學子完成學業。截至目前，該方案已成功培育近一百二十位畢業生，並尚資助四十二位在學學生，展現本會長期深耕教育、培育青年才俊的堅定承諾與實際行動。
典禮最後在莊嚴的菲律濱理工大學校歌聲中圓滿落幕，並舉行交流聯誼活動，為學界與業界搭建深層合作的新契機。
本會未來將持續與菲律濱理工大學及各教育夥伴深化合作，共同推動教育機會平等、促進人才培育與創新發展，為菲律濱的可持續進步及菲中友誼貢獻力量。
