The Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) Metro Manila delegation arrived in Cauayan, Isabela on July 24th, and was warmly welcomed by their colleagues and local Chinese businessmen. In the afternoon of the 24th, accompanied by their colleagues from Isabela, Antonio Hui, Paulino Ang, Johnny Uy, Aaron Tan Agcaoili, and Winster B. Pua, President of the Board of Directors of the Filipino-Chinese Cagayan Chamber of Commerce, CFBCI paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of the City of Cauayan, Mr. Caesar J. Dy, and then we visited a local Chinese school, Nan Sing High School.

Therein, the delegation had a quick discussion with the leadership of the school and the representatives of the “Pagharap sa Pangarap College Scholarship Program" recipients, and listened to the views and opinions on the students' studies and life. They were concerned about the students' learning and living problems and listened to the stories of the students.

Then, the delegation went to the Universal Leaf Philippines, Inc., the largest tobacco company in the country, and visited the production line and factory accompanied by Mr. Winster Pua. At present, the company has operations in North America, South America, Africa, Europe and Asia. The company guides farmers from planting the seeds to harvesting the leaves. Then, Universal Leaf processes them before selling to foreign companies that manufacture tobacco. The company's operations are technologically advanced, using robots to monitor and spray pesticides, record harvests, and inspect the tobacco.

On the morning of the 25th, accompanied by Chinese businessmen Richard Tan and Sandy Tan, CFBCI visited the La Suerte Biomass Power Plant and the Aurora Premium Cattle (APC) Inc.

With a long family history in the local rice milling industry, in 2007, La Suerte applied to be a biomass Renewable Energy (RE) developer, utilizing all rice husks left after milling as a fuel to generate electricity through combustion (steam turbine generator) at 6 tons of rice hulls per hour with an estimated capacity of 35,640,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) to supply the Luzon power grid for optimal power supply.

The company has an abundant supply of raw materials to fuel its 24-hour plant. This renewable energy source confirms that Isabela is not only one of the largest rice producers in the country, but also one of the largest provincial renewable energy centers.

Aurora Premium Cattle is a cattle farm owned by Chinese businessman, Richard Tan, with over 1,000 cattles all imported from Australia that are being taken care of in a spacious and clean environment with state-of-the-art equipment. The farm is divided into a breeding group, a nursing group and a young cattle group, and is managed by professionals. The high quality beef produced by the farm is not only popular in high-end restaurants in China, but its fresh and juicy taste has also attracted the attention of top chefs in foreign countries.

During CFBCI’s visit to Isabela, they had the opportunity to interact with local Chinese businessmen and visit enterprises, and it was an eye-opening experience to realize that Isabela is no less developed than metropolitan cities, and even more so.

菲華工商總會訊：本會的外省巡迴訪問團於七月二十四日造訪伊沙迷拉省，開展了為期三天兩夜的巡訪，受到本會在伊沙迷拉省同仁與當地華商的熱情歡迎。二十四日下午在伊沙迷拉省同仁許家璧、洪振山、黃培堂、黃金龍及Cauayan菲華商會理事長潘祖培的陪同下，禮訪了Cauayan市市長Caesar J. Dy，隨後參訪了當地的華校郊亞鄢南星中學，與該校領導及當地本會「點亮未來」受助生代表舉辦座談，關心受助生們的學習及生活問題，聽取受助生們的報告。

接著馬不停蹄地前往當地最大的煙草公司Universal Leaf，在潘祖培先生的陪同下參觀了生產一線及廠房。該公司從提供農民種子到採收煙葉、進行加工再銷售給製造煙草的國外公司，業務範圍遍及北美，南美，非洲，歐洲和亞洲。其公司運作一切都是科技化，使用無人機監控、噴灑農藥，記錄收成，到最後的檢驗煙草，全都由電腦技術員掌控，著實先進。

廿五日上午，在華商陳清琪先生及陳山黎先生的陪同下，與當地同仁一同參觀了La Suerte Biomass Power Plant稻殼發電廠和Aurora Premium Cattle (Apc) Inc.牛農場。La Suerte公司在當地碾米行業有著悠久的家族歷史，其於二零零七年申請作為生物質能源可再生能源(RE) 開發商，利用碾磨後留下的所有稻殼作為燃料，通過燃燒（蒸汽輪機發電機）產生電力，每小時6噸稻殼，預計發電量為3564萬千瓦時（kWh），輸送到呂宋島電網，提供最佳電力供應。該公司擁有豐富的原料供應，用作二十四小時工廠的燃料。這項可再生能源證實了伊沙迷拉不僅是本國最大的稻米生產地之一，而且還是最大的省級可再生能源中心之一。

Aurora Premium Cattle是華商陳清琪先生主有的牛農場，裡面飼養著一千多頭牛，這些牛都是從澳大利亞進口的，農場環境寬大又乾淨，設備先進。內分種牛組、哺育組和幼牛組，僱有專業人士打理。該農場出產的優質牛肉，不僅暢銷國內高檔餐廳，其新鮮多汁的口感更是使外國頂級廚師趨之若鶩。
此次到伊沙迷拉巡訪，與當地華商交流，參觀企業建設，發現富饒的糧食之都伊沙迷拉省，發展並不遜色於大都市，甚至更為卓越，真是令人大開眼界。
