On August 13, 2025, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) officially opened the “Mini Metro Fiesta Goes to Binondo 2025,” in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry – National Capital Regional Office (DTI-NCRO) and Lucky Chinatown. CFBCI President Samuel Lee Uy, Honorary President Stephen Tan Sia, Vice President Willy Chuakimtong, DTI Undersecretary Blesila A. Lantayona, Assistant Secretaries Grace F. Baluyan and Leonila T. Baluyut, Area 1 Head Corona Olivia Rivera, and Lucky Chinatown General Manager Norico Mizoguchi graced the ceremony as ribbon-cutting guests.
The program, hosted by CFBCI English Secretary Mex Bausa, opened with a vibrant lion dance performance by the Tiong Se Lion Dance Team, champion of the 2025 CFBCI Traditional Lion Dance Invitational Cup. The performance symbolized prosperity and good fortune for the exhibition. In his welcome message, President Uy highlighted that the event not only provides SMEs with a platform to showcase their products but also represents the joint commitment of the government, private sector, and Chinese community to work together for inclusive growth.
He further stressed that empowering SMEs is key to driving economic progress and cultivating future entrepreneurs. He encouraged business owners to remain true to their vision, draw inspiration from their families, employees, and communities, and continue striving toward greater achievements.
In her remarks, Usec. Lantayona commended CFBCI for its strong support of local SMEs, expressed gratitude to Lucky Chinatown for offering the venue free of charge, and conveyed her hope that the fair would inspire more Filipinos to pursue entrepreneurship. She also encouraged the public to support local products and introduced DTI’s latest programs, urging attendees to actively participate.
Lucky Chinatown’s General Manager, Ms. Mizoguchi, shared that the mall was honored to host the trade fair. She affirmed Lucky Chinatown’s commitment to working closely with CFBCI and DTI in supporting SMEs and helping them expand their market reach. DTI officials also presented plaques of appreciation to their partners in recognition of their contributions to promoting local enterprises. The grand opening concluded with the ribbon-cutting ceremony, group photos, and a guided tour of the exhibit areas.
The five-day “Mini Metro Fiesta Goes to Binondo” showcased 24 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises from across the country. Of these, nine were founded by CFBCI officers or their children, underscoring the creativity and entrepreneurial drive of the next generation of Chinese-Filipino business leaders. The remaining fifteen participants were chosen by DTI for their high growth potential. Their exhibits featured a diverse selection of products offering visitors a rich blend of creativity, culture, and commerce. The trade fair successfully concluded on August 17, 2025, leaving behind meaningful outcomes and lasting impressions.
菲華工商總會訊：八月十三日（星期三）上午，本會與菲律濱貿工部（Department of Trade and Industry, DTI）假馬尼拉岷倫洛華人區美加廣場中庭，聯合舉辦主題為“Mini Metro Fiesta Goes to Binondo”菲律濱中小微型企業商品展覽開幕剪綵儀式。本會理事長黃書瑋，名譽理事長謝國萬，執行副理事長曾國強，副理事長蔡金東，及貿工部次長Blesila A. Lantayona、貿工部司長Grace F. Baluyan與Leonila T. Baluyut，貿工部第一區主任Corona Olivia Rivera，以及美加廣場總經理Norico Mizoguchi共同擔任剪綵嘉賓。
開幕儀式首先由本屆「工商盃」舞獅比賽總冠軍，菲律濱中西學院舞獅隊表演祥獅獻瑞，寓意商展開張大吉，生意興隆。本會理事長黃書瑋致開幕詞時表示，此次活動不僅為中小微型企業提供展示平台，更象徵政府、民間與華社攜手合作、共促包容性成長的決心與力量。黃理事長指出，賦能中小微企不僅是促進經濟的動力，更是培育新一代企業家、激勵創業夢想的重要一步。他也勉勵創業者堅守初心，將家人、員工及社會視為奮鬥的動力，並持續挑戰自我、開創更大格局。
貿工部次長Blesila A. Lantayona致詞時讚揚本會為幫助本國中小微企業所做出的努力，感謝美加廣場無償提供展場，希望此次商展的成功舉辦，能吸引更多市民投身到創業行業，她亦呼籲大家支持本土產品，購買本國品牌。同時向與會人士介紹了貿工部近期的各項活動，並且鼓勵大家踴躍參與。
美加廣場總經理Norico Mizoguchi則表示，美加廣場很榮幸能夠為「Mini Metro Fiesta Goes To Binondo」商展提供場地，並補充說，未來將持續與本會及貿工部密切合作，協助中小微企拓展市場。
貿工部第一區主任Corona Olivia Rivera致詞時表示，本次商展主要展示本國中小微型企業的各種創新產品與新發明，同時為那些沒有市場推銷經驗與缺乏資本的小型企業提供平臺。接著由貿工部領導頒贈感謝牌予本會與美加廣場，以表彰對促進本地產業發展的貢獻。最後進行開幕壓軸，由本會領導和貿工部貴賓及美加廣場代表，共同為此次菲律濱中小企業商展剪綵，進行合影留念，並逐一參觀各個展區。
此次為期五天的“Mini Metro Fiesta Goes to Binondo”商展，有來自全國各地共二十四家中小微型企業參展，其中九家由本會青年企業委員會成員或領導同仁子女創立，展現華社新生代企業家的創新精神與創業實力；另十五家由貿工部精選出具備高度成長潛力的本土品牌，產品涵蓋節日用品、食品飲料、手工藝品、皮革、成衣服飾、有機產品及環保商品等，為參觀者呈現一場創意、文化與商機兼備的饗宴。商展已於八月十七日（星期日）滿圓結束，收穫豐碩。
