On 02 March 2024, at two o’clock in the afternoon, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the renowned Chinese Artist Yao Meimei’s painting and calligraphy exhibition centered on public service and Chinese-Filipino friendship. The exhibition organized by the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) and sponsored by several prominent Chinese-Filipino community organizations was held on the ground floor of FFCCCII headquarters.
His Excellency Wang Yue, the counselor and consul general of the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines graced the opening ceremony with his enthusiastic presence. On behalf of CFBCI, President Samuel Lee Uy and Vice Chairman Benito Uy attended the event as guests of honor.
Ms. Yao Meimei is not only an outstanding young artist in Beijing, China, but also known as “the cultural ambassador of Zhi Gong Party". She has published a series of books and her calligraphy works and paintings have been collected by the National Museum of Modern Chinese Literature, Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and the Beijing National Culture Palace.
At the entrance of the exhibition hall, Ms. Yao Meimei’s “Thousand Character Classic" written in seal script was particularly eye-catching with its ancient simplicity and smooth lines, full of strength and beauty. Nearly 30 pairs of exquisite paintings and calligraphy works were displayed in the hall, which captured the eyes of the VIPs attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and they praised this world-class cultural and artistic feast.
The exhibition is not only a cultural exchange, but also a link for mutual understanding and communication between China and the Philippines. Ms. Yao Meimei provides an opportunity for the people of the two countries to gain a deeper understanding of each other’s cultures, which will play a significant role in enhancing the friendship between the people of the Philippines and China. The exhibition lasted from March 19th to 21st.
菲華工商總會訊：三月十九日（星期二）下午二時，由菲華商聯總會、菲華各界聯合會、菲律濱中國商會、菲律濱中國洪門致公黨總部主辦，菲律濱中國洪門致公黨第二支部協辦的《姚梅梅致力為公促進中菲友誼書畫交流展》，假商總一樓展覽大廳，隆重舉行開幕剪綵儀式。中國駐菲律濱大使館參贊兼總領事王悅，姚梅梅女士、主辦和協辦方代表、本會理事長黃書瑋及主要華社團體代表受邀擔任剪綵嘉賓。
姚梅梅女士不僅是中國北京優秀青年文藝家，亦被稱為「致公黨的文化使者」。她先後出版了書畫專著《說文解畫》，自傳體《大美芳華》，紀實體專輯《文藝為人民》等一系列著作，深受廣大讀者讚譽和追捧。其書畫作品被中國現代文學館、北京市政協、北京民族文化宮等單位收藏。
當天書畫展廳入口處，姚梅梅女士用篆體書寫的《千字文》，古樸大氣、線條舒展流暢，充滿力量美，格外吸睛。廳內展出近三十副精湛書畫作品，讓出席開幕剪綵儀式的貴賓大開眼界，對本次世界頂級的文化藝術饗宴讚不絕口。此次書畫交流展，不僅是文化的交流，還是中菲兩國相互了解與溝通的紐帶，姚梅梅女士為兩國人民提供一次深入了解彼此文化的機會，對促進菲中兩國人民之間的友誼，加强兩國友好關係起到重大作用。展期從三月十九日至二十一日已圓滿結束。
