Every year, the Lucky Chinatown mall dresses up its premises with a spectacular theme to spice up the most wonderful time of the year － the Christmas season. This year, Lucky Chinatown which is situated at the heart of Binondo, Manila adapts a theme of “Sparkling Splendor,” filling the mall with vibrant lights and colorful Christmas ornaments. On 11 November 2024, at 5:00 p.m., President Samuel Lee Uy and Corporate Secretary Henry S. Go of the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) attended the Christmas tree lighting ceremony and official launch of “Sparkling Splendor” at Lucky Chinatown.

To begin the ceremony, Ms. Norico Mizoguchi, General Manager of Lucky Chinatown, gave some opening remarks, greeting everyone a merry and blessed Christmas season. It was then followed by the message of Mr. Willord Chua, Chairman of Manila Chinatown Development Council and the lighting of the giant Christmas tree which stands at the center of the Lucky Chinatown ‘Walk.’ Everyone applauded joyfully as the tree sparkled with bright and colorful lights, adorned with Chinese lanterns.

This year’s chosen charity foundation of Lucky Chinatown mall is Biyaya Animal Care which advocates for animal welfare. Thus, after the lighting ceremony, an entertaining pet runway show was held as well as a performance from “Milo & Friends.” The ceremony successfully ended and the guests were serenaded by Quartet Manila while enjoying some cocktails and pika-pika. CFBCI is deeply honored to become a part of this event which was graced with the attendance of other prominent community organizations in Manila Chinatown.

菲華工商總會訊：十一月十一日（星期一）下午五時，本會理事長黃書瑋偕同立案秘書吳恆利，應邀出席馬尼拉市華人區美加廣場（Lucky Chinatown Mall）所舉行的「璀璨閃耀」巨型禮盒揭幕及聖誕樹亮燈儀式，為該商場聖誕節系列慶祝活動拉開序幕。當晚除了主辦方領導，馬尼拉華人區發展委員會主席蔡臻蔚，Megaworld Lifestyle Malls 總裁 Graham Coates、Megaworld Horizon 首席副總裁 Kelvin Matthew Uy、馬尼拉市第三區描籠涯主席協會會長劉少強、Biyaya動物保護中心負責人Albert Camine及多位僑界領袖，均到場共襄盛舉，美加場廣的吉祥物「寶寶」熊貓娃娃也在現場娛樂賓客，商場的節慶氣氛變得相當濃厚，吸引大批人潮前來拍照。

活動首先由美加廣場購物中心總經理Norico Mizoguchi致歡迎詞，她表示：在節日期間珍惜我們的寵物，讓我們想起牠們帶給我們無條件的愛、歡樂與陪伴，讓這充滿愛的聖誕節變得更加溫馨，因為能與帶給我們無盡慰藉的夥伴一起分享節日的喜悅。馬尼拉華人區發展委員會主席蔡臻蔚代表馬尼拉市長致詞祝賀，與大家同慶聖誕佳節的來臨。

隨後，美加廣場總經理Norico Mizoguchi、本會理事長黃書瑋及其他貴賓共同為商場的巨大聖誕樹主持亮燈，及拉紅繩揭開巨型禮盒的重頭戲，與此同時天上灑落各色彩片，週邊噴射閃亮煙花，氣氛登時一片沸騰；當燈亮起來的剎那，聖誕樹上面掛滿了傳統的中國燈籠和菲式燈籠，象徵著中西文化的交融與節日的歡慶；禮盒內裝滿氣球，象徵著節日慷慨奉獻的精神，並為佳節增添了閃耀的光彩。

活動最後，由Biyaya動物保護中心安排了一場主人帶領寵物走Ｔ台時裝秀，毛小孩與主人身穿各式華麗的聖誕節服裝一一上台走秀，並擺出最亮麗的姿勢。Biyaya動物保護中心是美加廣場今年度所選擇合作的慈善公益團體，該團體主要提倡愛護動物，並呼籲大家領養寵物，在螢幕上播放十隻毛小孩的照片，希望愛心人士能與該團體聯繫，收養這些可憐又可愛的小動物。

本會與華人區美加廣場是長期合作夥伴，歷年的活動包括有，中小微企業商展、燈籠製作比賽、乒乓球邀請賽及傳統舞獅比賽等各項活動。
