The Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) held its 46th National Employers’ Conference and 50th Anniversary Celebration from July 29 to 30, 2025 at the Fiesta Pavilion of Manila Hotel. As one of the member organizations of ECOP, CFBCI attended the conference, represented by Executive Vice President Gerald Uy Chan, Director William Rogando, and Corporate Secretary Henry Go. The theme of this year’s conference is “Leading Transitions for a Sustainable Future”.
The conference brings together leaders and innovative practitioners from politics, business and academia to discuss in-depth how to maintain competitiveness and realize positive impacts in the changing global environment, focusing on the core issues of digital transformation, sustainable development and human capital. The first day of the forum emphasized how enterprises can maintain competitiveness and achieve positive impact in the changing global environment.
The first day of the forum emphasized how companies can embrace technology and sustainability strategies to meet the challenges of the future, while the second day focused on the sharing of experiences by grassroots forces and transformation facilitators, showcasing a diversity of perspectives and practical actions.
The keynote speeches were delivered by Arsenio M. Balisacan, Secretary of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and Bienvenido E. Laguesma, Secretary of the Department of Labor and Employment, while three panel discussions were held, featuring CEOs, key public and private officials, and representatives of academia.
On the second day of the 50th Anniversary Celebration, ECOP President Sergio Ortiz-Luis Jr. said in his speech, “As we celebrate the importance of ECOP’s 50 years of public service, let us not forget the great challenges and multiple crises that the world is grappling with. We reaffirm our commitment to building sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready workplaces through stronger partnerships, principled leadership, and meaningful social dialogues.” The Employers’ Confederation of the Philippines will always be at the forefront of the fight for social inclusion with the government,” he added.
During the conference, ECOP representatives interacted with various distinguished guests. Through in-depth dialogues with leaders from various sectors, ECOP was able to further strengthen its members’ understanding of local industry trends, laying a stronger foundation for serving its members and promoting economic and trade exchanges between the Philippines and China.
菲華工商總會訊：菲律濱僱主聯合會（Employers Confederation of the Philippines, ECOP）於二零二五年七月二十九日至三十日，假馬尼拉大飯店Fiesta Pavilion宴會廳，召開第四十六屆全國僱主年會暨慶 祝五十週年紀念。本會做為其會員單位之一，理事長黃書瑋委派執行副理事長曾國強，董事杜祖蔭和立案秘書吳恆利出席參加。本屆主題為「引領轉型，邁向永續未來」（Leading Transitions for a Sustainable Future），會議匯聚來自政、商、學界的領袖與創新實踐者，圍繞數位轉型、永續發展與人力資本等核心議題，深入探討企業如何在變動的全球環境中保持競爭力並實現正向影響。
第一天的論壇強調企業如何擁抱科技與可持續策略以應對未來挑戰，第二天則聚焦基層力量與轉型推動者的經驗分享，展現多元觀點與實踐行動。
主旨演講邀請到經濟、規劃與發展部(DEPDev)部長 Arsenio M. Balisacan 和勞工與就業部長 Bienvenido E. Laguesma發表講說，同時舉行了三場專題討論，由執行長、公私營機構的重要官員以及學術界代表主講。
在第二天的五十週年慶典上，菲律濱僱主聯合會會長Sergio Ortiz-Luis Jr. 致詞時指出：「當我們慶祝菲律濱僱主聯合會五十年來在國家建設方面的重要性時，讓我們不要忘記全世界都在努力應對的巨大挑戰和多重危機。我們重申我們的承諾：通過更強有力的夥伴關係、有原則的領導和有意義的社會對話，建立可持續、包容和為未來做好準備的工作場所。」他補充說，「菲律濱僱主聯合會將永遠站在最前線，與政府一起為社會共融而奮鬥」。
會議期間，本會代表與多位貴賓互動交流，透過與各界領袖的深入對話，進一步強化本會對本地產業趨勢的掌握，為服務會員及促進中菲經貿交流奠定更堅實基礎。
