The highly anticipated Mid-Autumn Festival is here again. This occasion is not only a time for family reunions but also a time when the moon is full and reflects people’s longing for their hometowns and relatives. Moreover, it also expresses people’s love to each other and their yearning for a better life.

On September 20 (Wednesday), the 20th CFBCI Plenary Meeting was held at the CFBCI auditorium, and the annual Mid-Autumn Festival Party took place. CFBCI officials headed by President Stephen Sia attended the ceremony and celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Aside from CFBCI members in Metro Manila, the event was also attended by members and their families from the provinces, particularly, those from Angeles, Pampanga led by Vice Chairman Alvin Chu and members from Tarlac headed by Vice Chairman Steve Ong.

During the celebration, old friends warmly greeted each other, filling the place with laughter and a warm atmosphere. Vice Chairman Mr. Daniel Zhu donated Aice brand ice cream to our colleagues for dessert after dinner.

The Mid-Autumn Festival has become a traditional custom in the Filipino-Chinese community, where almost every community, family, neighborhood, friends, and relatives gather to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.

After enjoying a sumptuous dinner, the Chinese Secretary, Ms. Ellen Chong, was responsible for explaining the rules of the dice game, and then divided the attendees into nine tables according to the numbers they got to start the Mid-Autumn Festival game.

The mood of our colleagues was high, as they threw the dice one after another, the cheers rose and fell, and the atmosphere gradually reached a climax. All the attending colleagues and their family members participated in the game with high spirits, enjoying this wonderful time together and having fun, and the lucky winners per table were awarded.

CFBCI gave a box of moon cakes to each of the members. The party was filled with festive atmosphere and all of them went home full of sweetness and everyone was looking forward to meet again next year.

菲華工商總訊：一年一度的中秋佳節再度來臨，中秋節不僅是闔家團圓的日子，月圓時刻，寄託了人們對故鄉、親人的思念，同時也表達了人們對美好生活的熱愛和嚮往。本會於九月廿日（星期三）下午假會所八樓大禮堂召開第十三屆理事會第二十次會議，並舉辦一年一度同仁中秋節聯歡晚會。本會理事長謝國萬，榮譽理事長楊彼得，名譽理事長許長安，執行副理事長黃書瑋，副理事長楊良田、蔡金東等出席慶典，與大家歡聚一堂，聚餐博骰，氣氛熱鬧，共同慶祝象徵著歡樂團圓的中秋佳節。

當天下午六時準時召開九月份的常務理事及理事聯席會議，討論會務進展，會後隨即舉行中秋聯歡晚會，不少同仁都攜帶家眷前來參加聯歡，讓人欣喜的是，來自東呂宋區Angeles地區常務理事朱海庭，和Tarlac地區常務理事王榮躍及當地同仁，特意攜眷驅車前來與馬尼拉同仁相聚，共度中秋佳節。老朋友相見噓寒問溫，分外親切，禮堂內一片歡聲笑語，氣氛溫馨。常務理事朱肖華特捐贈Aice牌冰淇淋供同仁飯後甜點。

中秋節舉辦擲骰子遊戲，已成為我們菲華社會的傳統習俗，每逢中秋節幾乎各個社團，家家戶戶，鄰里鄉親，親朋好友都會聚餐聯歡博中秋。本會的中秋聯歡會亦不例外，同仁們在享用過豐盛的晚餐後，便由中文秘書蔡艷霞負責講解擲骰子的遊戲規則，接著依各自拿到的號碼分成九桌開始博中秋。只見同仁們情緒高漲，隨著一輪又一輪的投擲，歡呼聲此起彼落，氣氛逐漸達到高潮，全體出席同仁與眷屬皆興高彩烈地參與其中，享受這共聚一堂，其樂融融的美好時光，最後每桌皆產生福氣狀元。本會特別為每位出席的同仁送上一盒月餅，聯歡會在充滿節日歡樂氣氛中，大家都滿載甜密而歸，期待明年再相聚。
