In a meaningful effort to bridge the digital divide and ensure that students in public schools across Isabela can thrive in the digital age, Mr. Antonio Ng, Coordinator of the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) Isabela Chapter and a dedicated public servant, spearheaded the turnover of the donation of essential computer classroom equipment to Bantug Lintao Elementary School in Roxas, Isabela. This initiative aims to empower students with access to modern learning tools, while fostering a more inclusive and technology-enabled educational environment.
After months of thoughtful preparation, the CFBCI Isabela Chapter formally turned over the donated equipment on the morning of July 4. The donation, warmly received by School Principal Ms. Catherine P. Setera and her team, included twelve brand-new desktop computers, printers, and a three-horsepower split-type air conditioner — equipment that will significantly enhance the school’s information and communication technology (ICT) capacity.
Grateful school leaders expressed deep appreciation, recognizing the donation as a vital step toward reducing the digital gap between rural and urban communities. With this generous contribution, students in Bantug Lintao now have greater access to science and technology education, offering them a brighter, more connected future. They acknowledged CFBCI’s unwavering support and altruism in advancing the cause of equitable education.
In addition to the school donation, CFBCI also turned over a set of brand-new Philippine flags to Mayor Kervin Francis Uy of Burgos, Mayor Joseph Christian “Niño" Uy of Aurora, and their respective municipalities. The mayors lauded CFBCI’s patriotic spirit and affirmed that the flags would be distributed to various public schools and institutions to instill national pride and a deeper sense of identity among students as they begin the new school year.
Looking ahead, CFBCI remains steadfast in its mission to promote education and social responsibility. The organization pledges to continue its outreach to far-flung communities, fostering hope and opportunity through concrete acts of service. With collective effort and a shared vision, we can uplift every child and help shape a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
A national flag or a computer may seem simple — but each represents a seed of hope, capable of nurturing dreams in a child’s heart. With care and commitment, we believe these seeds will one day blossom into a flourishing future for the Filipino people.
