CFBCI donates 1M pesos to Association of Filipino-Chinese Schools in the Philippines

On August 20, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) hosted a seminar titled “Marketing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” at the Century Park Hotel, Manila. Following the event, CFBCI once again demonstrated its commitment to education by donating one million pesos to the Association of Filipino-Chinese Schools in the Philippines. To date, CFBCI has contributed a total of four million pesos to the association, underscoring its dedication to promoting quality education and supporting educators’ welfare.

Established in January 1998, CFBCI is one of the leading business organizations in the Filipino-Chinese community. It upholds the principle of serving both the Chinese community and mainstream Filipino society by promoting cultural integration, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese in the Philippines, fostering business development, and contributing to the nation’s economic growth in various ways.

The association actively engages in numerous charitable initiatives. Each year, it donates national flags, wheelchairs, and bicycles to government agencies to promote patriotism, support social welfare, and enhance traffic safety. During the rainy season, CFBCI conducts mosquito-control efforts in Chinese and public schools to prevent dengue fever outbreaks. To ensure hospitals have sufficient blood supply for emergencies, the association also partners with the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center to organize regular blood donation drives.

CFBCI has also made education a top priority, launching and supporting numerous initiatives. These include the “Pagharap sa Pangarap” scholarship program, donations to various educational projects, and co-hosting chess tournaments with the Eugene Torre Foundation. In addition, CFBCI actively participates in the annual Filipino-Chinese Friendship Day celebration and organizes lantern-making contests, entrepreneurship seminars, and other cultural activities.

It is truly admirable for a business organization to champion Chinese-language education while engaging in extensive public service and charitable work. Such vision and generosity reflect the exceptional leadership of CFBCI’s past presidents and its unwavering commitment to community service.

Chinese education holds great significance for the Filipino-Chinese community. Under the leadership of President Samuel Lee Uy, CFBCI has intensified efforts to promote Chinese culture, strengthen Chinese-language education, and support the welfare of Chinese-language teachers. The association expresses its deepest gratitude to CFBCI for these efforts and looks forward to more opportunities for collaboration in the future.
