The Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) held its December plenary meeting on December 13, 2023 at six o’clock in the evening at the CFBCI Auditorium. After the meeting, CFBCI began to celebrate its 2023 Year-End Party in the same venue.

The auditorium which was impressively decorated with a retro theme by the scholars of CFBCI Pagharap sa Pangarap College Scholarship Program, paved the way for a festive atmosphere and friendly exchanges among members.

President Stephen Sia delivered a heartwarming speech, thanking the members present as well as their families who came to celebrate the most-awaited season. Distinguished guests such as Mr. Peter Yu, CFBCI’s Founding President who is over 90 years old, attended the event.

While enjoying the delicious food, the Theotokos Choir sang several nostalgic Christmas songs to the audience, followed by a number of CFBCI members who sang their own favorite tracks on stage, mesmerizing the audience and making them hum along with the songs.

CFBCI Director William Rogando and CFBCI English Secretary Mexica Bausa sang the Chinese song “The Moon Represents My Heart" as well as a number of English songs, while Executive Vice President Samuel Lee Uy and his wife danced gracefully on the side of the stage.

The rest of the program was hosted by CFBCI Chinese Secretary Ellen Chong, who also facilitated some fun games and raffle prizes that spiced up the party. After announcing the winners of the grand prizes and special prizes, each attendee who did not win were given consolation prizes.

As the party came to a close, the attendees happily shook hands with each other, said goodbye, and wished each other a safe trip back home. On behalf of CFBCI, we would like to thank everyone who generously shared their time, talents, and resources for the success of this event.

菲華工商總會訊：本會於十二月十三日（星期三）下午六時正在八樓大禮堂召開第十三屆理事會暨常務理事會第二十三次聯席會議，會後舉辦一年一度會員聖誕聯歡大會。

由本會點亮未來受助生精心佈置成七十年代復古式的八樓禮堂，處處洋溢著節日的喜慶氣息，彩燈散發著柔美的光芒，悅耳的聖誕歌曲在耳邊蕩漾，聯歡會在同仁的相互問候聲中拉開了序幕。理事長謝國萬帶領本會其他領導人熱情歡迎前來共慶佳節的會員及眷屬。特別是九十多歲的榮譽理事長、本會創會會長楊彼得也撥冗出席，使用仁更是驚喜；好友相聚，大家互相祝福，閒話家常，歡聲笑語此起彼落，聯歡會氣氛即溫馨又熱鬧。

在享用美食的同時，由Theotoko Singers合唱團為大家帶來了幾首美妙的聖誕歌曲，接著由本會多位唱將：楊良田、吳克斌、謝文炳、許福星等輪番上陣，在台上引吭高歌，獻唱自己拿手的懷舊老歌，令聽者陶醉的同時亦跟著哼唱。本會董事杜祖蔭和辦公室英文秘書Mexica Bausa合唱中文歌曲「月亮代表我的心」和多首英文名曲，執行副理事長黃書瑋偕夫人即興在舞台邊翩翩起舞。

餘興節目由本會秘書蔡艷霞主持，進行遊戲項目，期間還穿插抽獎活動，獎金和獎品豐富，讓聯歡會的氣氛高潮迭起。最後在宣佈頭三獎及特別獎得獎者之後，每一位出席而沒中獎的同仁都有安慰獎金，讓參加聖誕聯歡會的同仁都有所收獲。不知不覺間，聯歡會接近尾聲，大家握手道別，相互祝福，盡興而歸。

在此特別銘謝本會副理事長曾國強捐贈十張他主有的Tagaytay Royale Parc渡假酒店住宿代用券；馬尼拉市政府華人區發展委員會主席蔡瑧蔚任特別嘉賓，捐贈三張價值一萬二千元紅運火鍋代用券；榮譽理事長吳輝漢捐贈二十包糖果禮包，及理事王輝益捐贈五千元用於抽獎助興，在此向他們表示感謝。喜悅、歡愉和睦之情，圍繞著現場的每一個人，大家共同渡過了一個熱鬧而喜慶的節日之夜。
