On 25 September 2025, President Samuel Lee Uy, together with other officers, represented the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) at the “Celebration of the 76th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and Farewell Reception for Ambassador Huang Xilian” hosted by the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines at the Shangri-La Hotel Ballroom in BGC, Taguig City.
The event brought together over a thousand distinguished guests from the Filipino, Chinese, and international business communities, as well as political and academic dignitaries. It highlighted the depth of Filipino-Chinese friendship and the promising prospects of future cooperation. CFBCI’s delegation expressed their deepest respect and gratitude to Ambassador Huang for his dedication to advancing Sino-Filipino cooperation and for championing the overseas Chinese community throughout his tenure.
The reception carried both warmth and solemnity. First Lady Liza Marcos, along with high-ranking government officials, graced the banquet, while Vice President Sara Duterte delivered a congratulatory video message. Guests from all sectors praised Ambassador Huang’s invaluable contributions and joined in commemorating the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, reaffirming hopes for even stronger bilateral relations.
In his farewell address, Ambassador Huang fondly recalled his nearly six-year diplomatic service in the Philippines, emphasizing that the people remain the true protagonists of China-Philippines relations. Acknowledging challenges, he remarked that the “storms in the river of history are but fleeting,” expressing confidence that through the shared efforts of visionary leaders and communities, the ties between the two nations will overcome obstacles and open a new chapter of cooperation.
The evening also featured rich cultural and commemorative activities, including a thematic photo exhibition marking the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Guests were also shown promotional films on China’s modernization journey and a retrospective on Ambassador Huang’s tenure. Cultural booths and corporate exhibits showcased the achievements of Chinese enterprises in the Philippines, complemented by vibrant cultural performances that received enthusiastic applause.
In his message, President Uy highlighted that exchanges between the Chinese and Filipino peoples span millennia. He reaffirmed CFBCI’s role as a bridge for economic, trade, and cultural cooperation, underscoring: “Amidst global transformations, we must steadfastly uphold dialogue and cooperation to jointly build a peaceful and prosperous future.”
CFBCI remains committed to its mission of being “rooted in the Philippines, connected to China, integrated with the world, and co-creating prosperity.” The organization will continue to promote people-to-people exchanges and substantive cooperation, uniting the strength of the Chinese community in contributing to the well-being of both nations and to regional stability.

黃溪連大使在致詞中深情回顧其近六年在菲律濱的外交歷程，強調中菲友誼源遠流長、人民是雙邊關係的真正主人翁。他指出，中菲關係雖面臨挑戰，但歷史長河中的風浪只是短暫一瞬，堅信在有識之士的共同努力下，兩國關係終將撥雲見日、再啟新章。
招待會亦特別設置多元展示與文化交流活動，包括「紀念中國人民抗日戰爭暨世界反法西斯戰爭勝利八十週年」主題圖片展，播放展示中國式現代化發展成就的宣傳短片與黃大使六年任期回顧影片，並設有中國文化與企業展台，展現中資企業在菲發展成果。現場還呈獻一系列精彩紛呈的文藝演出，獲得來賓熱烈掌聲與高度好評。
