On 10 February 2026, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI), represented by Executive Vice President Paul Yeung, Vice President Willy Chuakimtong, Vice President Henry Lo Lim, and Vice President Antonio Tan, attended the 2026 Chinese New Year Reception jointly hosted by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Philippines and prominent Chinese-Filipino organizations at the Shangri-La Hotel ballroom in Taguig City.

Nearly 1,200 representatives from government, business, Chinese enterprises, overseas students, community organizations, and mainstream media gathered to celebrate the Lunar New Year in a festive and harmonious atmosphere.

In his address, Ambassador Jing Quan extended his warm New Year greetings and highlighted the longstanding ties between China and the Philippines, emphasizing shared heritage, cultural affinity, and the importance of strengthening communication and cooperation.

He cited progress in political dialogue, visa facilitation, law enforcement collaboration, people-to-people exchanges, and infrastructure development, while expressing China’s willingness to manage maritime differences wisely, expand practical cooperation, and deepen mutual trust. He also encouraged everyone to embrace the “spirit of the dragon and horse” to help steer bilateral relations toward stable and healthy development.

First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte conveyed their respective New Year greetings, recognizing the Chinoy community’s valuable contributions to the country’s economic growth, social welfare, and multicultural identity, while encouraging unity and perseverance in the Year of the Fire Horse.

Hon. Eduardo Jose A. De Vega, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Philippines, reaffirmed the Philippines’ commitment to dialogue and cooperation with China, noting the overseas Chinese community’s role as a bridge between the two nations.

Leaders from both sides engaged in warm exchanges on future cooperation, as CFBCI pledged to continue fostering economic and cultural ties in support of lasting friendship, regional prosperity, and shared progress.

菲華工商總會訊：華燈璀璨，嘉賓雲集。由中華人民共和國駐菲大使館、菲華商聯總會及菲華各界聯合會聯合舉辦之二○二六年新春招待會，於二月十日（星期二）晚間，假大岷區達義市香格里拉大酒店宴會廳隆重登場。近一千二百位來自政界、商界、中資企業、留學生、華社團體及主流媒體代表歡聚一堂，共迎農曆新春，現場洋溢著喜慶祥和的節日氣氛。

中國駐菲大使井泉在致辭中首先向祖國人民、在菲同胞及菲律濱各界人士致以誠摯新春祝福。他表示，中菲兩國地緣相近、血脈相連、文化相通，友好合作符合兩國人民根本利益。過去一段時間，雙方持續加強溝通協調，重啟政治對話機制，在簽證便利化、執法合作、人文交流及基礎設施建設等領域取得積極進展，為雙邊關係回穩向好注入動力。

井泉大使強調，中方願同菲方一道，以更大智慧與誠意妥善管控海上分歧，拓展務實合作空間，讓合作成果更多惠及兩國人民。他並表示，中國使館大門始終敞開，願與菲律濱各界深化交流、增進互信，同時堅決反對任何攻擊抹黑中國的言行，堅定維護國家主權與尊嚴。大使勉勵大家在新的一年發揚「龍馬精神」，以「快馬加鞭」的姿態，推動中菲關係重回健康穩定發展軌道。

菲律濱第一夫人麗莎‧馬科斯親臨現場祝賀新春，肯定華社長期以來在菲律濱經濟發展與社會公益方面所作出的卓越貢獻，並表示華人社群是菲律濱多元文化的重要組成部分。

副總統莎拉‧杜特地透過視頻發表賀辭，向全體華人華僑拜年。她指出，馬年象徵活力、勇氣與堅毅，期盼大家在新的一年延續團結互助精神，攜手為國家經濟復甦、社會穩定及人民福祉作出更大貢獻。

外交部次長德維加代表菲國政府致辭時表示，菲律濱重視與中國的夥伴關係，願透過持續對話與合作增進互信，推動雙邊關係穩步前行。他並向華社致以新春祝福，讚揚華人華僑在促進菲中經貿往來與文化交流方面扮演的重要橋樑角色。

當晚本會出席領導包括：現任名譽理事長（時任榮譽理事長）黃拔來、許長安，現任執行副理事長（時任副理事長）楊良田，以及副理事長蔡金東、林天德、陳華民等。諸位領導與中菲政商界人士廣泛交流，暢談合作前景，氣氛融洽熱烈。
