To warmly welcome the Lunar Year of the Horse, the Manila City Government and the “Filipino at Tsino Magkaibigan Foundation” co-hosted the Chinese New Year Countdown Drone Show and Fireworks Display on January 16, 2026, at the iconic Jones Bridge. As the clock neared midnight, the Pasig River shimmered beneath a dazzling spectacle of lights, drawing tens of thousands of local Chinese, Filipinos, members of the media, and tourists to witness a breathtaking fusion of technology and artistry in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

Among the distinguished guests were His Excellency Jing Qian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of the Philippines; Hon. Benito Techico, Special Envoy of the President to China for Trade, Investment, and Tourism; Hon. Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso, Mayor of Manila; Hon. Chi Atienza, Vice Mayor; Hon. Antonio Sy, Chairman of Manila Chinatown Development Council, Manila 3rd District councilors, and leaders of member organizations of the Filipino at Tsino Magkaibigan Foundation.

Representing the association, President Gerald Uy Chan and fellow officers attended in festive red attire, joining dignitaries and community leaders in welcoming the auspicious year ahead. Ambassador Jing Quan and Mayor Moreno extended warm Lunar New Year greetings before the countdown culminated in a stunning aerial display of 600 drones forming symbolic images, followed by a grand fireworks show that illuminated the Manila skyline.

As a pioneer member of the Foundation, our CFBCI remains steadfast in supporting charitable initiatives, public welfare programs, and cultural exchanges that strengthen Philippines-China relations. Through active participation in meaningful events such as this, we continue to promote deeper people-to-people ties and collaborative growth, working hand in hand with various sectors to foster friendship, harmony, and shared prosperity for the Chinese-Filipino community and beyond.

菲華工商總會訊：為喜迎農曆丙午馬年，馬尼拉市政府與「菲中愛心基金」聯袂主辦的「春節倒計時無人機匯演及煙火秀」，於二○二六年一月十六日（星期一）晚間十一時，在馬尼拉市岷倫洛區瓊斯大橋璀璨登場。當晚華燈初上，巴石河畔流光溢彩，數以萬計的華僑華人、菲律濱民眾與媒體代表齊聚現場，共同見證這場融合科技與藝術的迎春盛典。

中華人民共和國駐菲大使井泉閣下，馬尼拉市市長莫雷諾、副市長亞典沙、華人區發展委員會主席施正康、第三區多位市議員，以及「菲中愛心基金」各成員單位領導蒞臨現場，共襄盛舉，為活動增添隆重與光彩。本會理事長曾國強偕同董事施惠萍，立案秘書吳恆利及常務理事葉啟龍偕令郎葉坤立等人，身著喜氣紅裝，代表本會出席盛會，與各界嘉賓共迎新歲。

井泉大使及莫雷諾市長相繼致詞，向現場觀眾，在菲各界人士及全球華人華僑致以新春問候。隨著午夜倒計時結束，六百架無人機騰空而起，在夜空中變幻出馬尼拉市政府標誌、菲中愛心徽章及駿馬奔騰等圖案，結合燈光特效，場面震撼奪目；隨後五彩繽紛的煙火綻放天際，將節慶氣氛推向最高潮。現場歡呼聲與喝彩聲此起彼落，民眾紛紛以手機記錄這璀璨時刻，分享新春喜悅，共同迎來吉祥喜慶的馬年。

本會亦為菲中愛心基金的核心成員單位之一，多年來持續參與並支持各項慈善公益與文化交流活動，積極促進菲中民間情誼深化，攜手推動雙邊友好合作邁向更深層次發展。未來將持續支持並參與各項促進菲中友誼與華社繁榮的文化經貿活動，攜手社會各界，共創和諧發展的新篇章。
