On 14 January 2026, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) Metro Manila delegation arrived in Bacolod City for the sixth leg of its business forum series. A successful forum followed on the evening of January 15 at Luk Foo Seafood Restaurant, bringing together local colleagues and Filipino-Chinese business leaders to further strengthen their cooperation.
In his address, President Samuel Lee Uy highlighted the notable progress of various regions in economic development, industrial growth, and urban governance, citing strong momentum across agriculture, tourism, commerce, and services. He commended the sustained efforts of local government units and the business community, noting the promising opportunities these developments offer to Chinese entrepreneurs.
President Uy also praised the Bacolod Chapter for their swift disaster-response efforts and consistent commitment to charitable and social services, underscoring the importance of tradition and innovation working hand in hand. He invited members of the Filipino-Chinese business community in the city to join CFBCI to help build a stronger national platform for shared growth.
President Uy likewise invited participants to the 14th Biennial National Convention at Fiesta Pavilion, The Manila Hotel, Ermita, Manila, on February 11-12, 2026, to collectively shape the future blueprint of the organization.
The forum was co-hosted by Chinese Secretary Ellen Chong and English Secretary Mex Bausa, with introductions of delegation members, key initiatives, and social service programs. Representatives from regional chambers delivered messages, followed by closing remarks from Executive Vice Chairman Gerald Uy Chan.
Discussions focused on political-economic trends, regional challenges, cooperation opportunities, and local social service strategies, resulting in a productive exchange of ideas. The event concluded with the presentation of commemorative gifts and a group photo session.
菲華工商總會訊：本會第十四屆外埠巡迴訪問團於一月十四日（星期三）上午抵達描戈律市，展開第六站巡訪行程。並於一月十五日下午七時，在樂富海鮮餐廳成功與當地同仁和華商朋友舉辦座談會，持續強化本會與外省華商之間的互動與合作。
黃書瑋理事長在致詞中表示，描戈律市及未沙耶地區近年在經濟建設、產業發展與城市治理上成果卓著，無論農業、觀光、商業或服務業皆展現穩健成長動能，也為華商提供極具潛力的發展空間。他對地方政府及工商界長期努力表示高度肯定，並致上誠摯敬意。
黃理事長特別讚揚，描戈律市同仁在火災、水災以及干拉旺火山爆發等重大災害時，總是第一時間投入救援，守護民眾生命與財產安全；平日亦長期深耕慈善與社會服務，展現高度凝聚力與行動力，堪稱菲華工商總會外省團隊的典範。他強調，華商的發展需兼顧傳承與創新，個人努力與集體合作相輔相成；因此，他誠摯邀請描戈律華商菁英加入菲華工商總會，共同打造更具影響力的全國性工商平台，攜手開創廣闊的發展空間。
黃理事長同時邀請各界於二月十一日至十二日蒞臨馬尼拉大酒店，參加「第十四次全國會員大會」，與本會一同策劃未來發展藍圖，開創更多合作與共贏機會。
座談會由中文秘書蔡艷霞與西文秘書梅西卡共同主持，介紹訪問團成員並闡述總會推動的重點業務與社會服務計劃。本會描戈律地區理事洪宗華代表致詞；描戈律菲華工商聯合會志願消防隊員蔡中一介紹當地出席同仁及各商會領導，並介紹該商會和志願消防隊的各項服務方案。執行副理事長曾國強致謝詞。
座談會針對政經趨勢、華社發展機遇與挑戰，以及地方社會服務策略展開深入討論。大家踴躍發言，針對當前局勢、地區產業挑戰與合作機會，以及本會在當地推動的社會服務項目提出建言，現場交流熱絡、收穫良多。最後，描戈律菲華工商聯合會贈送紀念品予本會，集體合影留念。
