On 10 December 2025, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) held its annual Christmas Party at Fortune Mansion Restaurant in Malate, Manila. The occasion was graced by Founding President Peter Yu, honorary officers, and current Board of Directors led by President Samuel Lee Uy. Members and their families from Metro Manila and nearby provinces gathered in high spirits, creating a warm and festive atmosphere marked by camaraderie and joy.
Prior to the gathering, CFBCI successfully convened its 23rd Plenary Council Meeting, presided over by President Uy. Deliberations centered on advancing association initiatives and preparations for the 14th Biennial National Convention, scheduled for February 11-12 at the Manila Hotel. Several agenda items were deliberated upon and approved, establishing a strong foundation for CFBCI’s undertakings in the coming year.
In his Christmas message, President Uy noted that year-end gatherings remain among the most anticipated moments of the year. He expressed his sincere appreciation to his fellow officers and members for their valuable insights and steadfast support, which ensured the smooth conduct of the council meeting and the steady progress of CFBCI’s programs. He underscored the significance of the forthcoming Convention as both a milestone for the new year and a unifying event for all regions, encouraging members to participate actively and demonstrate the Association’s unity and vitality.
Furthermore, President Uy further conveyed his hope for continued collective support in the year ahead, so that CFBCI may achieve even greater accomplishments. He concluded by extending his warmest Christmas wishes to all members and their families, praying for peace, prosperity, and joy.
The evening proceeded with the presentation of the Gawad Parangal, honoring members for their outstanding contributions to the advancement of CFBCI. This year’s roster of awardees include: Vice Chairman Jimmy Ang (Trade & Commerce Committee); Vice Chairman Mylene Co (Education Committee); Vice Chairman Steve Ong (Organization Committee); Vice Chairman Linda Lao (Education Committee); Vice Chairman Ramon Cheng (Education Committee); Vice Chairman Gregorio Lagamayo (Education Committee); Vice Chairman Benito Uy (External Committee); Plenary Member John Go; Plenary Member Ramon Wong; and Dennis Chua. Birthday celebrants for the months of November and December were also recognized, as they gathered to blow out candles and share a celebratory cake.
The entertainment segment, hosted by Chinese Secretary Ellen Chong, featured performances by several leaders and members who rendered classic Chinese and English songs to enthusiastic applause. Each performer received angpao in appreciation. The highlight of the evening was the performance by the “Wrong Direction” singing group composed of Director William Rogando, Plenary Member William Ngo, and Paul John Villanueva, whose renditions of English and Filipino nostalgic songs inspired spontaneous dancing and brought the celebration to its peak. The program also included several rounds of lucky draws, with prizes such as cash, accommodation vouchers, and household appliances.
Special appreciation was extended to President Uy, Vice Presidents, and numerous officers for their generous sponsorships. Executive Vice President Gerald Uy Chan contributed accommodation vouchers for Royale Parc Hotel Tagaytay and discount coupons for Royale Palace Chinese Restaurant; Vice President Willy Chuakimtong donated ten boxes of Smartee jelly gift sets; President Emeritus Dante Go provided twenty packs of Columbia candy; and Plenary Member Willy Zapata donated Mikata electric rice cookers and electric fans. Their generosity greatly enriched the celebration.
Before the conclusion of the evening, President Uy presented each attendee with a Christmas ham, while EVP Chan distributed bottles of sparkling wine, allowing everyone to return home with tokens of goodwill and festive blessings. The celebration concluded smoothly amid laughter, warm greetings, and a shared spirit of unity, reflecting CFBCI’s vibrant energy and strength as one family.
廳舉辦一年一度聖誕聯歡晚會。當晚由創會會長楊彼得、榮譽理事長吳輝漢與黃拔來、理事長黃書瑋、執行副理事長曾國強，以及副理事長楊良田、蔡金東、陳華民，名譽副理事長王國正，董事洪香泉、杜祖蔭、柯仁義、鄭奕偉等多位領導親臨出席；來自大岷區、美骨地區及描東岸地區的同仁與家眷亦踴躍參加，會場氣氛熱鬧溫馨，洋溢著歡樂喜慶的氣氛。
聖誕聯歡晚會開始前，本會順利召開第十四屆第廿三次理事會會議，由理事長黃書瑋主持，針對會務推展及即將於明年二月十一、十二日在馬尼拉大飯店舉行的第十四次全國會員大會進行討論。會中多項議題順利通過，為即將到來的新年度奠定穩健基礎。
黃書瑋理事長在聖誕致詞中表示，歲末歡聚始終是一年中最令人期待的時刻。他衷心感謝所有領導同仁在會務推動上的寶貴建言與實際支持，使本次理事會議得以順利進行，也讓各項會務不斷向前推展。他進一步提到，本會即將迎來第十四次全國會員大會，這不僅是新年度的重要里程碑，更是凝聚各區力量的重大盛事，誠摯呼籲所有同仁踴躍參與，攜手展現本會的團結與活力。同時，他期盼大家在新的一年持續支持會務、共同前行，讓菲華工商總會再創更亮眼的成績。最後，黃書瑋理事長向全體同仁及家眷致上最溫暖的聖誕祝福，祈願大家平安順遂、喜樂滿盈。
隨後，晚會進入頒贈象徵卓越奉獻的 「GAWAD PARANGAL」表揚獎。獲此殊榮的有：常務理事洪海濱、侯逸蘭，許福星，王榮躍，留牡丹，蔡俊雅，莊南文，謝文炳，吳明泉，理事王明雄等，表彰他們在會務推動上展現的卓著貢獻。並為本會十一月及十二月份壽星準備生日祝福，眾壽星共同吹蠟燭及切蛋糕。
餘興節目由中文秘書蔡艷霞主持，本會多位領導同仁唱將輪番上台獻唱，中英文經典曲目連番登場，贏得滿堂喝采，每位演唱者均獲彩氣紅包。壓軸則由美骨地區董事杜祖蔭、理事吳信德與 Paul John Villanueva 所組成的 「Wrong Direction」合唱團帶來多首英文與菲律濱懷舊歌曲，歌聲動人，引領現場同仁即興舞動，將晚會氣氛推向高潮。
晚會穿插多輪摸彩活動，獎項包括現金紅包、住宿券及小家電等豐富好禮，驚喜連連，人人有獎，聯歡會的氣氛高潮迭起，歡笑與驚喜不斷。
