CFBCI JOINS PAMASKONG HANDOG PROJECT 菲華工商總會攜手劉少強市議員聖誕濟貧暖心贈大米關懷馬尼拉市第三區萬戶居民

On 19 December 2025, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) actively participated in the distribution of rice packs to indigent residents of Manila as part of the “Pamaskong Handog Project,” an annual holiday outreach initiative led by Manila 3rd District Councilor Jefferson Lau. The activity aimed to provide timely assistance to families in need during the Christmas season, ensuring that basic necessities reached the most vulnerable members of the community. This initiative benefited 123 barangays within Manila City’s Third District, reaching approximately 12,000 underprivileged households. The 12,000 bags of rice, each weighing 5 kilograms, were generously donated by CFBCI in collaboration with several major Chinese community organizations and compassionate individuals. This fully demonstrates the spirit of the Chinoy community in giving back to society and caring for the people’s livelihood, allowing our fellow Filipinos to feel the warmth and care from our community. On the afternoon of the event, San Lorenzo Plaza was bustling with activity. Residents from across the Third District queued in an orderly manner according to their assigned zones, voluntarily yielding priority to the elderly and persons with disabilities. Police officers from Manila City’s 11th Precinct, along with officials and patrol personnel, were present to assist in maintaining order, ensuring the entire rice distribution process proceeded smoothly and efficiently. In his humble message, Councilor Lau extended his sincere gratitude to all organizations and individuals who donated and participated in this Christmas rice distribution initiative. He expressed hope for continued support for this meaningful charitable endeavor and extended festive greetings of a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. He then presented certificates of appreciation to all the enthusiastic organizations and individuals who sponsored the event and officially commenced the rice distribution. CFBCI has long been actively involved in various disaster relief, poverty alleviation, and public welfare activities promoted by the Manila City Government. Upholding the principle of giving back to society, it strives to serve the Chinoy community and grassroots citizens in the Philippines to the best of its ability. For the past four consecutive years, CFBCI has contributed to this Christmas rice distribution initiative to extend festive greetings to Manila residents and wish everyone a warm, abundant, and joyful Christmas season. 菲華工商總會訊：本會持續關懷社會弱勢，發揮華社愛心，於十二月十九日（星期五）下午，本會執行副理事長曾國強偕同立案秘書吳恆利，常務理事莊南文、留牡丹，代表本會出席由馬尼拉市第三區市議員劉少強辦公室，假岷倫洛花園口廣場所舉辦之「聖誕節濟貧贈米活動」。 本次活動惠及馬尼拉市第三選區轄下岷倫洛區、聖沓古律斯區、武敏直區及溪亞婆區等地，共一百廿三個描籠涯，約一萬二千戶弱勢家庭受惠。活動由馬尼拉市第三區市議員劉少強辦公室、馬尼拉市政府及馬尼拉市華人區描籠涯主席協會等單位共同主辦，所捐贈之一萬二千包、每包五公斤之大米，是由本會聯合華社多個主要社團及熱心人士慷慨捐贈，充分展現菲華社會回饋社會、關懷民生的精神，讓菲律濱同胞感受到來自華社的溫暖與關愛。 活動當日下午，花園口廣場人潮踴躍，來自第三選區各地居民依照分區秩序排隊，並主動禮讓年長者及身心障礙人士優先領取。岷市第十一分局警察，以及馬尼拉市華人區描籠涯干部與巡邏人員亦到場協助維持秩序，使整個贈米流程進行得井然有序。 劉少強市議員於致詞時，對所有捐贈及參與此次聖誕節濟貧贈米活動的社團與人士表達誠摯感謝，並期盼各界能持續支持此一深具意義的慈善活動，同時祝福大家聖誕快樂、新年如意。 隨後，劉少強市議員現場向所有贊助本次活動的熱心社團與個人頒發感謝狀，並正式展開大米分發。 菲華工商總會長期積極參與馬尼拉市政府所推動之各項救災、扶貧與公益活動，秉持回饋社會的宗旨，盡己之力服務菲華社會與菲律濱基層民眾。本會已連續四年響應聖誕節濟貧贈米活動，藉此向馬尼拉市民表達節慶祝福，並期盼大家共度一個溫馨、豐足、愉快的聖誕佳節。 圖片說明： 左圖：本會出席領導代表接受主辦方頒發感謝狀。（左起）留牡丹，曾國強，劉少強市議員，吳恆利，莊南文。 右圖：本會出席領導在現場協助分發大米。
