On 11 December 2025, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) was honored by the Philippine Normal University (PNU) during its “Partners’ Appreciation Program” held at the HRD Auditorium, PNU Manila. The university recognized the CFBCI Pagharap sa Pangarap College Scholarship Program for its longstanding support to PNU scholars. Vice President and Education Committee Adviser Antonio Tan received the Plaque of Appreciation on behalf of CFBCI, joined by Education Committee Vice Chairman Ramon Cheng and Plenary Member Ramon Wong.

The program opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Teresita T. Rungduin, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Quality Assurance. She highlighted two meaningful Filipino terms: kapwa (shared identity) and diwa (inner spirit), which together form kapwa-diwa or shared personhood — a philosophy of pursuing goals not only for personal advancement but for the good of the community. Dr. Rungduin underscored that PNU’s success is closely tied to the steadfast support of its partners and donors, including CFBCI.

The list of PNU partners was then presented, followed by an inspiring message from PNU President Dr. Bert J. Tuga. Reflecting on his six years of leadership, Dr. Tuga emphasized the transformative impact of collaboration between educational institutions and various sectors. Through these partnerships, thousands of underprivileged yet deserving youth have been able to complete their education and return to their communities as educators. He extended the university’s deep gratitude to all partners, reminding everyone that despite societal challenges, “we still can do something in our own spheres of influence.”

A major highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of plaques of appreciation to PNU’s local and international partners from countries such as Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Ethiopia, Thailand, and the United States. CFBCI is deeply honored to receive recognition from a renowned institution that currently stands as the #1 university in the Philippines for Teacher Education, based on both national and international standards.

CFBCI remains committed to its partnership with PNU, a relationship that began in 2009 with the establishment of the Pagharap sa Pangarap College Scholarship Program. To this day, the organization continues to provide financial assistance and holistic training to PNUans and other deserving students from various state universities within and beyond Metro Manila. As a business organization, CFBCI firmly believes that trade and industry thrive when citizens are educated, empowered, and given opportunities to succeed. The program concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Marilyn U. Balagtas, Vice President for Academics, followed by a hearty lunch shared among guests and partners.

菲華工商總會訊：菲律濱師範大學(Philippine Normal University-PNU)於二零二五年十二月十一日（星期四）上午，假該校區大禮堂隆重舉行年度「合作夥伴感謝計劃（Partners’ Appreciation Program）」。本會獲贈感謝盾牌，由文教委員會督導陳華民副理事長代表受獎，副主任莊南文、福利委員會理事王明雄陪同出席，展現本會在教育公益上的堅定承諾與持續深化校際合作的決心。
典禮由菲律濱師範大學研究、擴展與品質保證副校長Teresita T. Rungduin博士致開幕詞。她以「kapwa-diwa（共享精神）」為主題，感謝包括本會在內的長期夥伴，強調正因各界的支持，師範大學才能為更多弱勢青年提供實現夢想的機會。

隨後，校長Bert J. Tuga博士分享其六年任期的教育合作成果，指出企業與社會組織的投入是促成教育成功的關鍵力量。他特別感謝本會長期不懈的協助，並表示：「在各自的影響範圍內，我們仍能為社會帶來真正且深遠的改變。」

本次受獎名單包括來自印尼、日本、衣索比亞、泰國、美國等國的合作單位。身為全國頂尖的師資培育學府，菲律濱師範大學長年名列全菲律濱師資教育第一名。本會能於眾多夥伴中獲得肯定，突顯其在教育公益上的卓越貢獻，備受全國矚目。

典禮最後由菲律濱師範大學學術副校長Marilyn U. Balagtas博士致閉幕詞，隨後與會者共進交流午宴，加深彼此合作與情誼。

本會與菲律濱師範大學的合作始於二零零九年，當年本會成立「點亮未來」助學方案，旨在協助清寒、品學兼優的大學生順利完成高等教育。多年來，本會已在該大學及大岷區內外多所公立大學推動獎助學金、職涯訓練與品格發展課程，幫助無數優秀青年展開人生新篇章。

本會深信教育能提升國民素質、強化國家人才競爭力，而健全的人才即是商業與產業永續發展的根基。未來本會將持續擴大教育投資，並深化與師範大學及更多學術機構的合作，共同為菲國青年創造更具希望的未來。
