On 04 December 2025, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI), led by President Samuel Lee Uy, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Basilio C. Yap, Chairman of The Manila Hotel, and Dr. Emilio C. Yap III, Vice Chairman. Mr. Herminio “Sonny” B. Coloma Jr., Chief Editor of the Manila Bulletin, also joined the meeting.

The visit provided a meaningful opportunity to reconnect, reaffirm long-standing ties, and discuss preparations for CFBCI’s 14th Biennial National Convention. The productive dialogue took place at the Manila Bulletin headquarters in Intramuros, Manila.

Representing CFBCI alongside President Samuel Lee Uy were: Stephen Tan Sia, Honorary President; Allan Wong But Loy, President Emeritus; Gerald Uy Chan, Executive Vice President; Henry Lo Lim, Vice President; William Rogando, Director; Edwin John Ty, Director; and Henry Go, Corporate Secretary.

At 2:00 PM, CFBCI officers were warmly welcomed by the top officials of The Manila Hotel, who also own and manage the Manila Bulletin, the country’s leading newspaper publication. Chairman Yap greeted the delegation like long-time friends, setting the tone for a cordial exchange on current events and business developments.

Since its early years, CFBCI has held its Biennial National Convention at the historic Manila Hotel, renowned locally and internationally for its iconic architecture and exceptional service. Now in its 26th year, CFBCI is honored to once again partner with the hotel for the 14th Biennial National Convention, scheduled for February 11–12, 2026. Preparations for the event were a key focus of the meeting, with both parties expressing enthusiasm and support.

Chairman Yap and Vice Chairman Yap also showcased several Manila Bulletin publications, including special commemorative books and magazines. Among these was the limited-edition work, “The Don Emilio T. Yap Story” by Dr. Emilio C. Yap III, which chronicles the remarkable journey of the late Don Emilio T. Yap, a Chinoy business leader and philanthropist who rose from humble beginnings to build a far-reaching business empire.

After the meeting, a group photo was taken, and CFBCI presented tokens of appreciation to Chairman Yap and Vice Chairman Yap in recognition of their long-standing partnership with the organization. Overall, it was a productive and heartfelt gathering that rekindled enduring friendships and strengthened hopes for a brighter future.

菲華工商總會訊：二○二五年十二月四日（星期四）下午，本會理事長黃書瑋偕同名譽理事長謝國萬，榮譽理事長黃拔來，執行副理事長曾國強，副理事長林天德，董事杜祖蔭、鄭奕偉，立案秘書吳恆利，中文秘書蔡艷霞，以及英文秘書梅西卡，一行前赴馬尼拉市王城區武力鎮報(Manila Bulletin)總部，禮訪武力鎮報管理層，受到該報董事局主席葉謀隆及董事局副主席葉永敏博士及武力鎮報總編輯 Herminio “Sonny” B. Coloma Jr. 熱情接待，雙方就本會將於二零二六年二月十一日至十二日舉行第十四次全國會員大會籌備工作進行深入交流。

本會自創會初期以來，即與菲律濱發行量最大的英文報紙武力鎮報，和享譽國際的馬尼拉大飯店保持緊密而穩固的合作關係。值得一提的是，馬尼拉大飯店與武力鎮報同屬一個企業集團，兩者皆擁有悠久歷史與重要社會影響力，相輔相成。武力鎮報創刊於一九零零年，是菲律濱發行量最大的英文報紙，並憑藉廣大忠實讀者群與強大的媒體資源，在國內公共輿論中占有關鍵地位。馬尼拉大飯店成立於一九一二年七月四日，是菲律濱歷史最悠久、最具代表性的五星級飯店，被譽為「馬尼拉灣皇冠上的明珠」。其百年傳承與卓越服務，長年為本會歷屆全國會員大會提供最優質的場地及支援，使雙方合作迄今已逾二十六年，情誼深厚。此次會談，三方就會議場地配置、活動流程、媒體協作與後勤細項進行建設性討論，並一致表示將全力支持本會，共同確保年會順利圓滿舉行。

會談期間，葉謀隆主席與葉永敏博士特別展示多份武力鎮報珍藏出版品，包括特刊、紀念期刊及由葉永敏博士撰寫限量出版的我的爺爺《葉應祿博士故事》一書。該書記錄已故華裔企業家葉應祿博士的傳奇人生，展現其白手起家、樂善好施、貢獻社會的動人故事。

交流會在熱烈而溫馨的氣氛中圓滿結束，理事長黃書瑋代表本會全體成員致贈聖誕禮品予葉謀隆董事長及葉永敏博士。此次拜會不僅加強本會與武力鎮報及馬尼拉大飯店的合作基礎，也為即將到來的全國會員大會奠定更穩固的前提，共同展望攜手打造更繁榮、更具前景的未來。
