On 25 November 2026, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) donated raincoats to the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) and the Special Mayor’s Action Response Team (SMART) in the presence of Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso and Vice Mayor Chi Atienza. The official turnover ceremony was successfully held at Bulwagang Villegas, Manila City Hall.

Given the frequent rains in our country, it is crucial for traffic enforcers and policemen to have proper protective gear. In response, CFBCI initiated the donation of specially designed raincoats equipped with reflective lining to safeguard MTPB and SMART personnel from harsh weather while enhancing their visibility and safety during nighttime operations.

The ceremony was attended by several CFBCI officers and members, including President Samuel Lee Uy; Vice Chairmen Ramon Cheng, Eduardo Ting Tiu, Bruce Uy, and Gregorio Lagamayo; Plenary Members Ramon Wong, Derrick Uy, and Sheryl Tiu; and Members Corrinne Lagamayo and Jeanette Sy.

This initiative underscores CFBCI’s commitment to supporting frontline personnel who work tirelessly to maintain order and ensure the safety of the public, rain or shine. By providing essential equipment, the organization hopes to ease the daily challenges faced by the city’s traffic and emergency response teams.

CFBCI likewise reaffirms its dedication to fostering strong partnerships with local government units and contributing to programs that uplift communities. The organization looks forward to continuing its advocacy of service and collaboration for the benefit of the City of Manila and its people.

菲華工商總會訊：本會為關懷馬尼拉市政府前線人員於雨季中的值勤安全，於二○二五年十一月二十六日（星期二）下午，由理事長黃書瑋率領同仁前往馬尼拉市政府Bulwagang Villegas廳，向市長莫仁諾（Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso）及副市長亞典沙（Vice Mayor Angela Lei “Chi” Ilagan Atienza）移交四百件高質量耐用雨衣予馬尼拉市政府屬下交通及停車管理局（Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau，MTPB）和市長辦公室特別行動隊（Special Mayor’s Reaction Team，SMART），並舉行捐贈儀式。

　　理事長黃書瑋率領青年企業委員會主任杜祖蔭董事，文教委員會副主任許福星、莊南文，福利委員會副主任林文龍、葉啟龍、理事王明雄，商務委員會理事佘玲玲，公共資訊委員會理事葉俊龍，及同仁陳慧靜、許汶玲等一行抵達市政府時，即受到市長莫仁諾與副市長亞典沙的熱烈歡迎，充分展現市府對本會長期支持的高度肯定。

　　莫仁諾市長在儀式中表示，近期馬尼拉午後常出現雷陣雨，雨衣物資可謂「及時雨」，有效保護在大街小巷辛勤執勤的公務人員。他並特別感謝本會的慷慨義舉，強調這不僅是物資支援，更是社區情誼與公私合作的象徵。

　　黃書瑋理事長表示，此次捐贈的雨衣採用反光設計，可在暴雨與夜間環境中大幅提高能見度，強化交通人員及執勤隊伍的安全防護。他並高度肯定莫仁諾市長的施政表現，在其帶領下，馬尼拉市的市容治理、公共秩序、社區建設均有顯著進步，令人感到欣喜與鼓舞。他強調，本會將持續支持市府，共同推動城市發展與民眾福祉。

　　本會長期與馬尼拉市政府密切合作，積極參與多項城市建設與文化活動，包括協助美化華人區王彬街南橋、參與市政府農曆新年倒數與春節慶典等重要活動。此外，在馬尼拉貧民區遭受火災時，本會亦多次前往臨時收容中心發放民生物資，協助災民度過難關，展現菲華商界回饋社會的責任與關懷。

　　此次捐贈行動再次彰顯本會「取之社會，用之社會」的精神。本會將持續秉持公益使命，與馬尼拉市政府攜手合作，共同打造更安全、友善與充滿活力的城市環境。
