The Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) participated in the “Reception in Celebration of the 98th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Liberation Army of China,” hosted by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in the Philippines. The event took place on the evening of Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Shangri-La Hotel, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

The reception was graced by key dignitaries including His Excellency Huang Xilian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC to the Philippines; Hon. Hai Ruike, Deputy Director General of the National Security Council of the Philippines; Hon. Wang Yinren, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PRC; as well as several high-ranking officials from the Philippine government and military, representatives from Chinese enterprises, leaders of the Filipino-Chinese community, members of the media, and students.

Ambassador Huang Xilian delivered a keynote address to commemorate the August 1 Army Day. In his speech, Ambassador Huang emphasized China’s commitment to peaceful development and a defense-oriented military policy. He highlighted the Chinese military’s vital role in safeguarding both national security and global peace. Noting the 80th anniversary of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War, he reaffirmed China’s determination to uphold the post-war international order, defend the UN-centered global system, and reinforce the one-China principle.

Guests were also treated to a photo exhibition and a special film presentation showcasing China’s advancements in national defense and military modernization. Attendees warmly congratulated the Chinese government and commended the progress of its defense sector.
CFBCI values the strong and friendly ties between the Philippines and China. Our participation in the event reflects our continued support for bilateral relations and reinforces the importance of fostering meaningful engagement between the Filipino-Chinese community and broader sectors of both nations.

菲華工商總會訊：本會理事長黃書瑋偕同榮譽理事長許長安，副理事長林天德，董事施恭旗特使，立案秘書吳恆利，應邀出席中國駐菲律濱大使館，於二零二五年七月三十日（星期三）晚，假達義市博尼法西奧環球城香格里拉大酒店隆重舉行「慶祝中國人民解放軍建
軍九十八週年招待會」。中國駐菲律濱特命全權大使黃溪連、菲律濱國家安全委員會副主任海瑞科、外交部部長助理王尹仁與阿爾費雷斯、眾議院外交委員會主席阿瑞納斯、前文官長梅蒂亞爾蒂、總統中國事務特使許智鈞與顏傑奇、司法部副部長卡蒂茲、國警監察長杜萊、菲律濱軍方外聯局局長莫傑等菲國軍政高層代表，及多國駐菲使節與武官、中資企業代表、菲華社團領袖、各媒體與留學生等四百餘人齊聚一堂，歡慶八一建軍節，場面盛大而熱鬧。

黃溪連大使發表致辭，強調中國堅持走和平發展道路，奉行防禦性國防政策，並指出中國軍隊是維護國家安全與世界和平的重要力量。今年適逢中國人民抗日戰爭暨世界反法西斯戰爭勝利八十週年，中方將堅定捍衛戰後國際秩序，維護聯合國為核心的國際體系，並重申一個中國原則不可挑戰。

現場並設有「維護世界和平的中國軍隊」及紀念中國人民抗日戰爭暨世界反法西斯戰爭勝利八十週年主題圖片展，同時播放反映中國國防與軍隊建設成就的專題影片。來賓們紛紛表示祝賀，並對中國國防現代化發展成果給予高度評價。

本會一向重視菲中友好交流，此次出席招待會，不僅展現本會對菲中雙邊關係之關注與支持，亦有助於促進菲華社會與各界的良好互動與深度交流。
