On 16 March 2025, the Alyansa Fire Rescue led a “Fire Prevention Month Seminar" attended by the beneficiaries of the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) Pagharap sa Pangarap College Scholarship Program. The seminar was successfully held at CFBCI 8th Floor Auditorium in Sky 1 Tower, Binondo, Manila.

As CFBCI stands firm with the advocacy to raise awareness on fire safety, promote proactive measures, and foster preparedness to prevent fire incidents and safeguard lives and property, our organization is pleased to invite Mr. Fredly Tan Pascual and Mr. Rodel C. Flores as guest speakers in the monthly LSMS for CFBCI scholars. On behalf of CFBCI, Director Richard Alviar, Vice Chairman Linda Lao, Vice Chairman Ramon Cheng, and Plenary Member Jefferson Cheng attended the event.

To formally begin the seminar, Director Alviar delivered an opening message, providing inspiration to the scholars and emphasizing that learning practical skills is also important to succeed in life. Afterwards, Ms. Mexica Bausa, CFBCI English Secretary, facilitated the Serendipity talk to gather the personal experiences of the scholars related to fire.

After the preliminaries, the guest speakers took the stage and provided a substantial talk focusing on the common causes of fire accidents and sharing fire-fighting knowledge to the scholars in a comprehensive manner. They even provided helpful flyers with relevant information and tips on how to address fire accidents.

Following the talk, a short question-and-answer session was facilitated which was enjoyed by the scholars, and the awarding of certificates to the excellent guest speakers. Definitely, this seminar is the best way to celebrate the month of Fire Prevention. The seminar ended successfully at lunchtime and all scholars enjoyed a sumptuous meal courtesy of CFBCI.

菲華工商總會訊：本會於三月十六日（星期日）上午，假八樓禮堂為「點亮未來」助學方案的受助生舉辦修養講座。本會為培養受助生全方位的成長，每月定期邀請學友會成員或專業人士，分享各自領域的專題講座，以開闊學員們的心靈，讓他們吸收新知識，成為德才兼備的青年。

三月份是菲律濱國定消防月，本會特別邀請救災不落人後的聯合志願防火會(Alyansa Fire Volunteer and Communication Group)消防隊隊長陳立德、消防員Rodel C. Flores宣導防火安全知識，以提升受助生們的安全防災意識。當天本會董事曾煥眉，常務理事留牡丹、莊南文及理事張其安等人到場聆聽，並給予專業指導。出席的受助生共有一百十二名。

活動由本會董事曾煥眉致開幕詞，他以親切溫暖的語氣勉勵受助生們：人格塑造與學業成績並重，強調成功不僅與智力有關，還與態度和道德有關的理念。他強調，防火安全知識不只是書本上的理論，更是關鍵時刻能救命的實用技能。

本次講座精心安排心靈分享（Serendipity）環節，由本會西文秘書梅西卡主持；與以往側重於願望和成就的討論不同，這一次，讓學員們反思了與火災悲劇有關的個人經歷。來自菲律濱理工大學（PUP）的受助生Joie Balasbas講述她眼睜睜地看著火焰吞噬了她的家園和愛犬，而無能為力。全場鴉雀無聲。然而，儘管傷痛難以抹去，她動情地說：「大火奪走了我很多東西，但並沒有奪走我重建家園的意志。」全場報以熱烈掌聲。

隨後，聯合志願防火會消防隊長陳立德與消防員Rodel C. Flores接力登場，以淺顯易懂的方式講解火災成因、消防知識和背後的科學原理，火的四大要素：熱源、燃料、氧氣與化學反應，然後深入探討了五種火災類型與應對方式：A類：木材、紙張、塑膠等固體物，B類：汽油、油類等液體，C類：電器設備，D類：可燃金屬，K類：廚房油鍋火。同時強調了火災的常見原因，從無人看管的烹飪到線路故障，敦促學員們要時常注意周圍的環境。

隨後，概述了發生火災時的基本步驟：一、營救有直接危險的人。二、向他人報警並啟動應急系統。三、立即聯繫消防部門。四、關閉門窗，控制火勢。五、 滅火或疏散，只有在接受過培訓的情況下才嘗試滅火。Flores消防員還講到有關消防安全的常見誤解，特別是吸入煙霧的危險。「煙霧比火焰蔓延得更快。」他強調：在陷入火海時應立即「停下、放下、滾動 」。並現場示範滅火器「P.A.S.S.操作法」： Pull 拉開插梢、Aim 對準火源底部、Squeeze 擠壓把手、Sweep 左右掃射。

接著是問答環節，學員們熱烈參與，紛紛提問火災應變、火災逃生規程、急救措施及在引發恐慌的情況下如何應對等話題，現場氣氛熱絡。

講座最後，本會領導同仁向主講人陳立德隊長及消防員Rodel C. Flores頒發感謝狀，活動圓滿落幕。本會領導再次呼籲學員們要積極參與社區防火講習，將所學的知識轉化為行動，共同守護生命與家園；因為唯有做好充分準備，才能有效防範災難的發生。
