On 16 February 2025, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) sponsored a block screening of the Chinoy film, “Her Locket,” in collaboration with the Rebecca Chuaunsu Film Production at Fisher Mall Cinema 2, Quezon City. A total of 256 individuals comprising of CFBCI Pagharap sa Pangarap Scholars, officers and members of CFBCI and their families, Chinoy youth, and students came to see the film for the first time.
“Her Locket” is a heartwarming story of forgiveness and redemption, centering on the character of “Jewel Ouyang Nicolas,” and is inspired by the story of Rebecca Chuaunsu herself. It is directed by J.E. Tiglao, a Manila-based independent filmmaker, who is awarded Best Director at the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival on 2013. “Her Locket” has bagged several accolades both locally and internationally and was featured in Marche du Film de Cannes in France.
At 12:00 noon, people started to arrive at the cinema. CFBCI scholars were transported by two buses courtesy of Cagsawa Travel & Tours managed by Director William Rogando. Other participants began to arrive at the same time and lined up orderly to retrieve their movie tickets. Before the movie officially started, a short pre-program was hosted by Ms. Mex Bausa, English Secretary of CFBCI. CFBCI officers and members in attendance were acknowledged, and President Samuel Lee Uy gave a heartwarming message.
In his speech, President Uy said, “Dear viewers, I hope that aside from making you feel butterflies in your stomach, this film will teach you how true love endures all hurdles and heals all wounds. I am also hoping that this film will make you appreciate the vibrant culture of the Filipino-Chinese community even more, especially with the recent celebration of the “50th Golden Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between the Philippines and China.” Certainly, this movie will inspire you to reflect on how similar and interwoven these two cultures are.”
The movie was shown from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and received positive feedback from the audience. After the screening, a brief question and answer portion was moderated by Mr. Jared Go, Associate Producer of the film and new member of CFBCI, and Ms. Bausa. Two actors joined the discussion namely, Mr. Francis Mata and Mr. Roberto Uykieng, adding more breadth to the conversation.
Overall, CFBCI is honored to become a significant part of promoting this film and organizing the block screening. As one of the prominent groups in the Chinoy community, CFBCI will continuously support initiatives and projects that will further highlight its vibrant culture and heritage. 菲華工商總會訊：本會為支持本國華人電影公司所拍攝的富有戲劇性的菲華故事，特包場計順市Fisher Mall二號電影院，於二月十六日（星期日）下午一時，放映由蔡上官賢麗電影製作公司（Rebecca Chuaunsu Film Production）所精心製作，非常具有「菲華風」創作的電影《情鎖金墜》（“Her Locket”），該劇獲得多個國內外獎項。出席觀賞電影的本會領導同仁計有：理事長黃書瑋伉儷，名譽理事長謝國萬伉儷，副理事長施茵茵，董事鄭奕偉伉儷，常務理事柯偉順律師，理事張其安伉儷、施銘深、梁培江伉儷、及會員（亦是該片副製片人）吳岳陽、蔡金璇，「黃國棟、林春鳳教育基金會」（Gregorio P. Uy and Lee Peng簡稱GPULP）董事長黃書企伉儷及本會「點亮未來」一百多位受助生，和慈善第一機構(Charity First Foundation, Inc.)近五十位受助生，領導同仁親朋好友，僑社人士，共兩百多位賓客到場觀看這一菲華名劇。
當天中午十二時，觀眾們陸續抵達漁人商場二號電影院，本會百餘位「點亮未來」助學方案受助生於上午假會所參加二月份修養講座會後，由本會董事杜祖蔭安排其合夥公司Cagsawa旅遊公司二台大巴，將學員們準時送抵漁人商場並井然有序地入場。
電影開播前，本會理事長黃書瑋在致歡迎詞時說，期盼這部電影能夠讓觀眾感受到真愛如何經受住一切障礙，治癒一切傷口，並且讓大家體會到菲律濱華人是充滿活力的文化。他也指出，今年是「菲律濱與中國建交五十週年」，華社將舉辦一系列的慶祝活動，希望這部電影能夠讓觀眾們意識到菲中文化是多麼的相似。
下午一時電影準時放映，《情鎖金墜》劇情是根據製片人兼女主角Rebecca Chuaunsu的真實事蹟改編而成，故事發生在一九七零年代至一九九零年代，講述一位高齡菲華寡婦Jewel Ouyang 的回憶錄。女主角Jewel因患有嚴重老人癡呆症，由其剛步入律師職業的獨生兒子照料。當她無意間發現一枚金墜並打開時，看到裡面與父母的合照，記憶逐漸浮現，Jewel 的思緒被帶回到年輕的時光，憶起家庭、愛情與學業和職業生涯中的種種酸甜回憶。其中，與她兄長 Magnus 的恩怨尤為深刻，因為他曾欺騙她，侵占了家族財產的繼承權。
電影《情鎖金墜》是一部關於愛和青春的感人故事，跨越了當代菲律濱文化的重要時代和世代。電影以倒敘的方式講述主人翁的故事，諸多劇情即現實又出乎人意料之外，最後結局更是令人感動到熱淚盈眶。為了方便華人和外籍觀眾觀看，該片備有簡體中文和英語雙語字幕。
將近兩小時的電影結束後，現場獲得一致好評，掌聲熱烈；隨即由本會西文秘書梅西卡及吳岳陽主持問答環節。飾演晚年兄長的演員Mr. Francis Mata與他的搭檔Mr. Roberto Uykieng及在劇中客串飾演宣佈遺產的律師、本會常務理事柯偉順律師到場與觀眾們進行互動交流，並回答有關《情鎖金墜》的各項問題。
《情鎖金墜》是由J.E. Tiglao擔任導演，該部電影曾代表菲律濱參加法國Cannes Film Festival（戛納電影節）、二零二四年Sinag馬尼拉獨立電影節、二零二三年年英國倫敦東亞國際電影節、第廿二屆孟加拉達卡國際電影節、二零二四年台北無為國際電影節、二零二四年美國聖地亞哥電影節，並於二零二四年十二月至二零二五年三月期間參加了涵蓋十八個城市的印度 Jargan電影節競賽。
好的電影值得推薦，許多看過《情鎖金墜》的觀眾都表示如果有機會一定會帶家人再度觀看，因為這是一部能讓所有人產生共鳴的影片。劇裡幾位才華橫溢的菲華演員在影片中飾演了多個主要角色。
