On 15 February 2025, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) attended the Inauguration Ceremony of the newly renovated premises of the Philippine Malabon Cultural Institute (PMCI). CFBCI President Samuel Lee Uy delivered a congratulatory message on behalf of the organization. President Uy was accompanied by several CFBCI officers and members, namely: Vice Chairman Eduardo Tiu, Vice Chairman Ramon Uy, Vice Chairman Jack Wong; Plenary Members Kervin Ong, Ronald Uy, and Cary Chua; and Jared Go (new member).
The event was led by Philip Lao, Director of the Board of Trustees of PMCI. Hon. Jeannie Ng Sandoval, Mayor of Malabon City, other school officials, and esteemed representatives of various Filipino-Chinese organizations, including CFBCI President Samuel Lee Uy, were also present at the ceremony and delivered their congratulatory speeches, thus making the occasion even more special.
Director Lao said in his welcome address that PMCI has experienced many challenges over the past 67 years. Each challenge has become an opportunity for growth, and the school has always been upholding the spirit of bravely confronting and intelligently solving problems to promote education. Although the population of Chinoys in Malabon is relatively small, many people of Chinese descent still aspire to receive Chinese language education and learn the Chinese language in order to pass on the Chinese culture. In the future, the PMCI Board of Directors will continue to work together to promote the innovation of PMCI so this institution could make greater contributions to the Chinese-Filipino community.
In his heartwarming speech, President Samuel Lee Uy said that PMCI has made great contributions to Chinese language education for a long time with evident breakthroughs, and the school has raised numerous talents for the community throughout its existence. He said that he firmly believes in the Chinese proverb, “Learning is a treasure that follows its owner everywhere,” which also has a Filipino equivalent: “Ang edukasyon ay kayamanan na kailan man ay hindi mananakaw.”
It has been fifteen years since CFBCI started its Pagharap sa Pangarap College Scholarship Program in 2009, and the organization has been supporting underprivileged students so they can finish their college education without worries and eventually help their families to break away from poverty. “We believe in the power of education to shape the lives of young people for the better. We wish that PMCI will flourish and the light of education will shine in all directions, and that the students will become successful and help our society become a better one,” President Uy said.
Afterwards, Director Lao and Mayor Sandoval presented certificates of appreciation to its collaborators who sponsored the construction of the new school building. The event was concluded with a song and dance performance by the teachers and students, and a gratitude speech from Thompson Laohianty, Vice President for Administrative Services and Finances, and the head of the school’s English department.

大會主席董事長曾煥彬致歡迎詞時表示，嗎拉汶市文化書院在過去六十七年間經歷了諸多挑戰，每一次挑戰都成為成長的契機，學校始終秉持勇敢面對、智慧解決問題的精神，推動教育發展。儘管嗎拉汶的華僑華人數量較少，但許多華人後裔依然渴望接受華文教育，學習華語，以傳承中華文化。未來校董會將繼續攜手合作，團結一致，共同推動嗎拉汶文化書院的教育發展，為華社做出更大的貢獻。
本會理事長黃書瑋致祝賀詞時表示，嗎拉汶文化書院長期努力為華文教育作出巨大貢獻，成績有目共睹，貴校將近七十年來為社會造就了無數人才。我們堅信一句中國諺語：「學習是一種財富，它將跟隨它的主人走遍天下」。這句話在菲語中也有對應： “Ang edukasyon ay kayamanan na kailan man ay hindi mananakaw"。菲華工商總會自二零零九年開始啓動「點亮未來」助學方案，至今已經有十五年，我們一直在資助本國貧困學子讓他們能無後顧之憂地完成大學學業，幫助家庭脫離貧困。我們堅信教育的力量，它能塑造年輕人更美好的生活。最後，祝願嗎拉汶文化書院如日中天，教育之光普照四方；學子成才濟世，桃李芬芳滿天下。
隨後，嗎拉汶文化書院董事長曾煥彬等人頒贈感謝狀予本次贊助興建新校舍的僑界領袖、校友及社會善心人士，以表彰他們對該校發展的支持。
活動在嗎拉汶市文化書院師生歌舞表演及行政主任劉家寶、英文教務主任盧佳佳致謝詞後，圓滿劃下句點。
