Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami) rampaged across Bicol region throughout the fourth week of October, causing damage to millions of properties and claiming the lives of 20 people. In response to the call for immediate help to the hard-hit Bicol region, the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) collaborated with AGRI Partylist Representative who is also a proactive member of CFBCI, Cong. Wilbert T. Lee, to transport relief goods to typhoon-affected individuals in Sorsogon Province.

On 24 October 2024, at 4:00 p.m., Cong. Lee along with the AGRI Partylist team personally visited the headquarters of CFBCI for the official turnover of relief goods. On behalf of CFBCI, President Samuel Lee Uy and Honorary Vice President Johnny Lee welcomed them to the CFBCI head office. After a quick conversation, the two parties proceeded with the official turnover ceremony. In total, CFBCI has donated 200 bags of 5-kilo rice, 800 pieces of new blankets, and 200 pairs of rubber slippers to be distributed to the residents of Sorsogon who affected by the extreme flooding induced by Typhoon Kristine.

Established in 2005, AGRI Partylist champions the rights of farmers and other workers in the agricultural sector against agricultural smuggling. During times of disaster like typhoon surges, helping our disadvantaged brothers and sisters through all means possible shall be everyone’s goal. Since its foundation in 1998, CFBCI, through its long-enduring Operation Brotherhood, will continue reaching out to Filipinos to offer assistance to communities in distress, and remind them that they are not alone in their battles. Because after all, hope remains our best weapon against all challenges. Disasters will come and go, but our solidarity as one whole community will remain steadfast and unshaken.

菲華工商總會訊：颱風「克莉絲汀」（國際名「潭美」）肆虐菲律濱呂宋島，於十月廿四日在本國東北方海岸登陸，北部若干省份降下大豪雨，引發大規模洪患和土石流，造成逾百人喪生，七百多萬人受災。這是今年迄今為止襲擊北部地區最致命和最具破壞性的風暴。受災最嚴重的美骨地區（Bicol region）更是急需救援。

本會於「克莉絲汀」颱風登陸當天接獲農業政黨國會代表李偉傑眾議員(Congressman Wilbert T. Lee)、亦為本會外交委員會理事之請求，期盼本會能夠提供援助物資予殊殊銀省（Sorsogon）颱風重災區。

本會理事長黃書瑋聞訊後，本著「人溺己溺，人飢己飢」，救人救急的人道主義援助精神，立馬於一上午的時間，準備好二百包五公斤大米，並連同本會常務理事黃明聰所捐贈的二百雙拖鞋及八百條棉被一同捐出，為災民解燃眉之急，盡棉薄之力，溫暖他們的心。

當天下午四時，本會理事長黃書瑋及名譽副理事長李少平，親自將該批援助物資移交予李偉傑眾議員及農業政黨國會工作團隊，請他們代為運至殊殊銀省颱風災區發放。

理事長黃書瑋說，本會自一九九八年成立以來，每逢天災，都不落人後，第一時間配合政府有關部門捐贈援助物資予災區，並協助受災戶度過難關。希望他們能堅定信心、振奮精神，做好災後重建工作，儘快恢復生活秩序。

李偉傑眾議員則表示，農業政黨國會工作團隊會在第一時間安排卡車將本會所捐贈的援助物資全數運往機場，再由飛機送往殊殊銀省的颱風重災區。並代表當地災民向本會領導同仁表達感謝之意；相信他們收到物資後，必能感受到來自華社的善心，感恩有你們及時伸出援手，雪中送炭。同時讚揚本會在促進菲中兩國人民友好關係所做出的努力及貢獻。

農業政黨成立於二零零五年，捍衛農民和農業部門其他工人的權利，反對農產品走私。該黨派一貫宣導可持續的糧食供應、更低廉的基本商品價格、包容性和負擔得起的醫療保健、平等的就業機會和經濟的穩定。
