In order to further strengthen the relationship among new generation of overseas Fukien Chinese, 6th Forum on Maritime Silk Road for Young Overseas Chinese was held on August 27-29, 2024 in Putian, Fujian Province, China. Representing the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) Young Entrepreneurs’ Committee (YEC), Ms. Candy Joy Chua, plenary member, and his brother, Mr. Jack Chua joined the delegation of at least one hundred Fukien youth from 35 countries and regions.

The organizers carefully arranged a two-day study tour on the 27th and 28th, leading the delegation to visit the Putian Planning Exhibition Hall, Xinghuafu Historical and Cultural District, Lu Yi Group, Huafeng Green Fiber Industrial Park, and Shuangchi Industrial Company Limited. Then, the delegation also toured around the village and captured a glimpse of its temples, revitalization projects and hi-tech factories. CFBCI-YEC delegates expressed their admiration of the culture of Fujian Province where the ‘old’ and the ‘new’ converge. Indeed, Putian’s rich historical and cultural heritage has a lot to offer the young generation.

Immediately after the visit on August 28, the delegation joined the Midsummer Night’s Music Festival party where they raised their glasses and danced to the lively music and laughed at the interactive games. The forum reached a successful conclusion with all participants beaming with joy and pride of their roots. CFBCI extends its gratitude to the forum’s organizers who prepared an impressive itinerary. Definitely, the forum has achieved its goal to allow all the participating overseas Chinese youth broaden their horizons, and to feel the depth of the Chinese traditional culture.

菲華工商總會訊：為進一步加強海外閩籍華僑華人新生代工作，由省委統戰部主辦的以「嘉庚精神傳薪火，閩僑青年『莆』華章」為主題的《第六期閩僑青年精英海絲情》，於二零二四年八月廿七日在湄洲島拉開帷幕。福建省委統戰部副部長、省僑辦主任肖華鑫，莆田市市長林旭陽，團省委副書記張阿峰，福建省僑聯副主席齊志，本會青年企業委員會理事蔡蕙伉及會員蔡蕙屹，和來自全球卅五個國家、地區的百餘位閩籍僑青、海外留學生代表出席參加歡迎晚宴。

主辦單位精心安排廿七日和廿八日為期兩天的考察活動，帶領僑界青年深入參觀莆田規劃展示館、興化府歷史文化街區、魯藝集團、華峰綠色纖維產業園、雙馳實業股份有限公司等地，探尋城市發展；接著繼續前往湄洲島媽祖廟、參觀莆田鄉村振興專案、高科技工廠等，體驗這座海濱鄒魯、文獻名邦的深厚底蘊和發展脈動。

在先後打卡了彩虹路和湄嶼潮音，參觀媽祖廟學習媽祖文化之後，一同拍攝僑青獻禮活動MV，攜手拼字組成「僑青」「150」「75」等，共同齊唱《我和我的祖國》等曲目，通過拼字、合唱等形式呼應活動主題，紀念嘉庚誕辰一百五十周年，同時獻禮祖國七十五周年華誕，樹立新時代愛國為民、回饋家鄉的華僑旗幟，聚焦「根、魂、夢」，畫好「同心圓」，推動閩僑青年精英參與海絲核心區建設。

本會青年企業委員會理事蔡蕙伉在接受當地媒體訪問時表示：「莆田既有歷史悠久的『老』，同時有與日俱增的『新』。莆田深厚的歷史文化底蘊，有很多值得我們再深入挖掘和瞭解」。

於八月廿八日在參觀完畢後，閩僑青年們隨即在啤酒花園餐廳內參加「仲夏夜音樂節」派對，在音樂聲中舉杯暢飲，在互動遊戲時開懷大笑。最後，在浪漫璀璨的燈光下、在炙熱滾燙的音浪裡，為期三天的第六期閩僑青年海絲情活動，圓滿落下帷幕。

此次主辦單位所精心安排的行程，除了讓所有與會僑界青年開拓視野，切實感受蓬勃發展中透著獨特魅力和無限潛力的莆田，從中體驗僑鄉發展新脈動，並感受到中華優秀傳統文化的博大精深。
