The Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) President Stephen Sia together with Executive Vice President Samuel Lee Uy, Vice Chairman Eduardo Ting Tiu, Vice Chairman Gregorio Lagamayo, Plenary Members Ramon Cheng, Linda Lao, and Cary Chua, and more than 70 students from CFBCI’s Pagharap sa Pangarap College Scholarship Program participated in the Chinese New Year Parade organized by the City Government of Manila on February 10, 2024.

In the afternoon, Manila Vice Mayor John Marvin “Yul Servo” Cruz Nieto, Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian, City Administrator Bernardito Ang, and Manila Chinatown Development Council Chairman Willord Chua, city officials, students of Chinese schools, and leaders of prominent Filipino-Chinese associations rode on more than 20 floats from the Manila Post Office, along the main streets of Binondo, and ended at the San Lorenzo Ruiz Plaza to pay tribute to the public.

The joyous parade led by the ecstatic dragon and lion dancers has attracted tens of thousands of people who flocked to the streets and distributed ampaos, candies, sweet barley, t-shirts, fans, et cetera. Many people from all over the Philippines came to Binondo to enjoy the festivities, feel the atmosphere of the Lunar New Year, and get a taste of Chinoy cuisine.

The two floats of CFBCI were creatively designed and decorated by the scholars themselves. The floats were decorated with colorful dragons at the front, representing good luck for the new year. The superb design and decoration attracted a large number of people to take photos in front of the floats. All the participants, young and old, were full of joy, feeling the warmth of the Chinese community and wishing the Year of the Dragon to bring good luck to everyone.

菲華工商總會訊：本會理事長謝國萬偕同執行副理事長黃書瑋，常務理事許福星、林文龍，理事留牡丹、莊南文、黃金東及同仁楊錦程、梁清江 、黃宗涵、黃鴻鎰等人，帶領七十幾位「點亮未來」受助生，於二月十日（星期六）下午二時參加由馬尼拉市政府，華人區發展委員會及菲中愛心基金等單位所共同舉行的甲辰龍年春節華人區花車巡遊活動，與民眾共慶佳節。

當天下午馬尼拉市副市長尤素福、中國駐菲大使黃溪連、岷市行政長官洪英鐘，馬尼拉市政府華人區發展委員會主席蔡瑧蔚，市府人員、各華校學生和菲華社團領導，分別乘坐二十幾輛花車，從馬尼拉郵政總局出發，沿岷市華人區主要街道：瓊斯大橋、王彬街、中山街等，終點在美加廣場結束，向民眾拜年，並分發紅包、糖果、甜稞，Ｔ卹、扇子等，吸引了數以萬計的民眾蜂擁而至，到處人山人海。期間鑼鼓喧天，由舞龍舞獅在隊伍前面向民眾拜年賀新春，聲勢浩大，盛況空前。

許多來自全菲各地的民眾，專程來華人區歡渡佳節，感受農曆春節的氛圍，沾沾喜氣，華人區的街道上張燈結綵，洋溢著春節的喜慶氣氛。本會的兩輛花車是由「點亮未來」助學方案的受助生們精心設計及佈置，花車是以五彩繽紛的醒獅作為主軸，代表新的一年吉祥如意，精湛設計及佈置吸引大批民眾在花車前留影。
參加的民眾男女老少個個歡心雀躍，收獲滿滿，感受到來自華社的溫暖，祝願甲辰龍年為大家帶來好運。
