On October 1, the eighteen-member delegation of the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. Including President Stephen Sia, Executive vice President Samuel Lee Uy, Vice President Gerald Chan, Vice President Willy Chua Kim Tong, Vice President Paul Yeung, Vice President Henry Lim, Vice Chairman Gregorio Lagamayo, Vice Chairman Edwin Ty, Vice Chairman Eduardo Aga Tiu, Vice Chairman Zhu Xiao Hua, Plenary Member Jack Wong, Plenary Member Ramon Uy, Member Lili Lagamayo, Member Jacq Ferdinand Wong, Member Dongquan Chen, Chinese Secretary Ellen Chong, Secretary Judith Tan, and Liaison Officer Mexica Bausa, took a domestic flight and arrived in Legazpi City, Bicol.

They were warmly welcomed by their colleagues and the local Chinese businessmen in Legazpi City, enjoyed a sumptuous lunch at the Pepperland Restaurant hosted by the Legazpi City Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and were mesmerized by a quick tour of Legazpi’s local attractions. CFBCI organized regional visits like this regularly to strengthen its ties with Chinese businessmen from all over the country, to facilitate productive knowledge exchange, to enhance friendships, and to promote the economic prosperity between Manila and the provinces.

In the evening, the delegation met with the representatives of the business community and colleagues from Legazpi City in the Marison Legaspi Hotel function room. President Sia, firstly delivered a speech in which he thanked the local Chinese businessmen and Chinese associations for their long-term support and assistance to CFBCI, enabling the smooth implementation of its programs in Bicol. He also invited all of them to attend the 14th National Biennial Convention of the Organization to be held in February of next year.

Executive Vice President Samuel Lee Uy introduced the “Pagharap sa Pangarap College Scholarship Program” while Vice President Gerald Chan, Vice President Willy Chua Kim Tong, Vice President Paul Yeung, and Vice President Henry Lim spoke one after another.

Mr. Antonio Tan, the representative director of CFBCI in Legazpi, introduced his local colleagues and leaders of various chambers of commerce, and reported on the various projects implemented by the Organization in the local community.

Ms. Ellen Chong hosted the forum in which she introduced the members of the delegation and explained the recent works of CFBCI including its implementation of social welfare projects. Gemma Ongjoco, Vice Mayor of Guinobatan Albay, was invited to attend the seminar.

The local Chinese business community highly valued the visit and the seminar. They discussed the future trend of the Philippine political situation, CFBCI’s implementation of new social welfare programs and the present challenges faced by the Chinese community.

The dinner was entertained by the Wrong Direction singing group, formed by Director William Rogando and William Ngo, who sang a number of songs, and Vice President Paul Yeung and Vice Chairman Gregorio Lagamayo, who sang Chinese, Cantonese and Mandarin songs on stage, making the atmosphere of the dinner gathering very warm and exciting.

The local Chinese businessmen and colleagues attending the seminar came from the Filipino-Chinese Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Legazpi and Tabaco City as well as the administration of the Tabaco Pei Ching School.

菲華工商總會訊：本會的外省巡迴訪問團第四站米骨區，由理事長謝國萬帶隊，成員：執行副理事長黃書瑋，副理事長曾國強、楊良田、蔡金東、林天德，常務理事林文龍、鄭奕偉、許福星偕夫人陳莉莉、朱肖華偕女婿陳東權，理事顏漢龍、王輝益偕公子王志龍，中文秘書蔡艷霞，秘書處聯絡吳宛盈，英文外交Mexica Bausa一行十八人，於十月一日搭國內航班，飛抵米骨市，獲本會在當地的同仁與華商熱情歡迎，並於中午由黎牙實備亞眉菲華商會假Pepperland餐廳設宴為巡訪團接風，餐後遊覽當地名勝古跡。本會定期舉行外埠巡迴訪問，旨在加強與全國各地華商之間的聯繫，彼此交流經驗，增進友誼，同時亦將促進大岷與外省經濟的繁榮發展。

一日晚上，本會巡訪團在下塌的酒店Marison Legaspi Hotel多功能廳與美骨區同仁和商界代表，進行座談聯誼。座談由本會理事長謝國萬首先致詞，他感謝當地華商、華人社團長期以來對本會的大力支持和協助，使得本會的各項方案得以在米骨區順利推展；同時邀請各位同仁出席明年二月本會即將舉行的第十四次全國會員大會。執行副理事長黃書瑋介紹本會「點亮未來」教育方案的運行，副理事長曾國強、副理事長楊良田、副理事長蔡金東、副理事長林天德紛紛發言。本會黎牙實備代表董事陳華民介紹出席的當地同仁及各商會領導，並報告本會在當地實施的各項方案。秘書蔡艷霞主持座談會，介紹巡訪團成員，及闡述了本會近幾年來所開展的各項工作和社會服務專案的執行情況。當晚Guinobatan Albay社副社長Gemma Ongjoco應邀出席。

當地同仁華商社團對本巡訪團的蒞臨，舉辦的座談會高度重視，大家就菲政局的今後趨向，本會社會服務方案的推展和華社華人在各領域所面臨的挑戰進行了深入的探討。晚宴有淺描戈代表董事杜祖蔭與理事吳信德所組成的Wrong Direction合唱團演唱多首歌曲助興，帶動副理事長楊良田和蔡金東，亦上台演唱中文、粵語和閩南語歌曲，使聯誼晚會氣氛熱烈。
