After visiting Angeles City, Pampanga in the morning of July
12 (Wednesday), the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) Metro Manila delegation
went to Urdaneta, Pangasinan in the afternoon of the same day and received a
warm welcome from local colleagues and Chinese businessmen, who hosted a
banquet with CFBCI colleagues and Chinese businessmen from the municipalities
of Sison, Pozorrubio, Binalonan, Urdaneta, Villasis, and Rosales in Pangasinan.
President Stephen Sia thanked his local colleagues and
Chinese businessmen for attending the forum. “The people of Northern Luzon are industrious,
rich in produce and have a pleasant climate. The last time we visited the
region was before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic so it was a great
pleasure to meet up with many of our colleagues and local Chinese businessmen
again. We hope that you will speak freely and give us your suggestions. At the
same time, I would like to invite all of you to attend the 14th National
Biennial Convention of the Organization to be held in February next year,” said
Mr. Sia.
During the seminar, the current problems faced by the Chinese
community and the country were discussed, and the plenary made suggestions and
exchanged views with each other. Our colleagues and local Chinese businessmen
and friends spoke enthusiastically during the seminar and the atmosphere was
warm and harmonious.
菲華工商總會訊：本會外埠巡迴訪問團繼七月十二日（星期三）上午造訪了中呂宋地區後，於當天下午再專程前赴北呂宋地區訪問，受到當地同仁與華商的熱烈歡迎，並於當天下午在蜂牙絲蘭省家(Jia)酒家設宴，與來自Sison，Pozorobio，Binalonan，Urdaneta，Villasis和Rosales等地的本會同仁及華商舉辦座談會。
本會理事長謝國萬首先致詞，他感謝當地同仁和華商能撥冗出席座談會。北呂宋地區的人民勤奮，物產豐富，氣候宜人。本會於新冠疫情前曾多次巡訪貴地，這次再度造訪，與許多同仁及當地華商重逢倍感親切。希望大家能暢所欲言，積極提出建議。同時邀請各位同仁出席明年二月本會即將舉行的第十四次全國會員大會。本會執行副理事長黃書瑋、蜂牙絲蘭地區理事潘貽福、政黨組織Abono主席蘇文琳、副理事長曾國強和副理事長林天德紛紛發言。秘書蔡艷霞主持座談會，介紹出席的同仁，及闡述了本會近幾年來所開展的各項工作和社會服務專案的執行情況。
座談期間大家討論了當前本國與華社所面臨的各種問題，並在會上提出各種建言，互相交流意見。本會諸位同仁與當地的華商朋友均在座談會上踴躍發言，氣氛熱烈又和諧。
